What is the DMZ

While the Cold War happened a long time ago, Korea is the only country that still remains divided as a consequence. The DMZ lies on the border between the North and the South. This is the most heavily fortified border in the whole world, so don’t miss the chance to see it! You should expect a truly immersive and unforgettable trip on all our DMZ tours!

DMZ Gondonla tour

Our DMZ Gondola tour is one of our most popular DMZ tours and can also be an excellent alternative to our DMZ Half Day tour and JSA tour when political or military events restrict access to some of the stops on those tours. The DMZ Tour is a must! - What an interesting learning experience. Our guide Gabby was very knowledgeable, sweet, funny and charming. She made the tour very fun despite the seriousness. The DMZ tour is a must if you visit South Korea. Possibly my favorite experience of my visit to South Korea.

Great tour and history! - My friend and I learned so much during this tour. Our tour guide, Moon, did a great job of explaining the history and keeping us engaged. Moon’s personal history with the Korean War added a special touch to it!

DMZ tour for my 60th birthday trip to South Korea - I was absolutely thrilled with this experience in its entirety! Not only was it easy to book the trip at the travel desk of our accommodations at the Dragon Hill Lodge in Yongsan, but we were able to pay and register for the trip right there. Honesty, the entire process couldn't have taken 10 minutes. Next, we were picked up by our Deluxe motor coach at the pedestrian gate of the Yongsan base, which is literally fewer than 100 meters from the hotel proper. As we boarded the bus, our guide Emily ensured everyone had their passport, which was checked against a prepared list, and we were off. Emily gave an administrative briefing as we headed out and then began providing detail on the history of Korea and the Korean conflict. As a retired soldier, who was never stationed in Korea, but who has studied the war extensively, I was impressed with her knowledge and comfort at explaining all aspects of Korea's history and the conflict in my native language (English). Emily was not only knowledgeable, but friendly and accommodating. Throughout the tour, she gave advice concerning the best ways to get the most out of the different aspects of the tour; from what not to miss, to the best ways to take photos and be photographed, and even took several pictures of, and for almost all members of the tour group. Additionally, Emily made recommendations about the best times to eat at the stops we made, and what kinds of souvenirs we might consider, depending on what was most important to us. All in all, it was a bit of a whirlwind, with lots to see and do, but I was satisfied with everything I was able to see and do in the time allotted at each point of interest. Lastly, not only would I recommend this tour to others, I would go again and add the suspension bridge and gondola to my list of things to do. Not only that, however, I would want Emily as my guide; she was a Gem!

A Day I Will Never Forget - The trip to the DMZ was absolutely amazing! Emily was very informative, friendly, charming, and very knowledgeable! I loved how Emily was able to articulate the major events of the Korean War throughout the tour. Her passion for telling her country’s history brought tears to my eyes on multiple occasions. I am a retired US Army soldier and this was my first time visiting Korea with my husband who’s also a retired US Army soldier. During our careers in the military, we were never stationed in Korea but heard so many stories from our comrades which made it easy for us to travel here to experience this beautiful country for ourselves. My husband is celebrating his 60th birthday ( April 20th) and his 20th year of retirement so we wanted to do something special to celebrate his special milestone. Visiting the DMZ with Emily as our guide made my spouse’s last day of age 59 an experience we will never forget. My father in law fought in the Korean War and passed away when my husband was 7 years old. For us to walk the grounds where he fought was a true honor! Thank you so much for sharing and preserving the history 😊✅

Happy - Tour guide Emily was very good! Very friendly. Had a great time. But next time a private tour is better as there is option for monorail ride into the tunnel.

DMZ Tour - Amazing experience for me and my boyfriend. Our guide, Emily, was very kind and friendly. The Gondola tour gave us a special view of the Dmz. Going through the 3rd Tunnel was quite difficult, but still we enjoyed it.
