Highlights
  • Seoul - Travel from Seoul to Seoraksan.
  • Seoraksan National Park - Seorak Mountain gets its name from ‘Seol’ meaning ‘snow’ and ‘Ak’ meaning ‘big mountain,’ as the snow lingers long, keeping the rocks white. In 1965, it was designated a Natural Monument preservation area. Later, in 1973, it became a park preservation area, and in 1982, UNESCO named it a Biosphere Preservation District. The park spans four cities and counties: Sokcho, Inje, Goseong, and Yangyang. The highest peak is Daecheongbong; OeSeorak lies to the east and NaeSeorak to the west, which is further divided into North and South NaeSeorak. OeSeorak features unique rock formations and waterfalls like Ulsanbawi Rock, Gwongeumseong Fortress, Geumganggul Cave, Biryong Falls, Oryeon Falls, Togwangseong Falls, and more. Numerous hiking trails are available, with the Biseondae-Madeungnyeong Course and Biseondae-Cheonbuldong-Daecheongbong Peak Course being the most popular.

It’s renowned for its picturesque tree-lined roads and as the filming location of “Winter Sonata.” The island is also a cultural hub for local artists and employees, hosting various cultural events, concerts, and exhibitions year-round. A Korea Visit - Visiting the temple in Seorak San Park was beautiful and memorable. We also enjoyed the rail bike experience. The Nami Island I feel is a park geared towards young families and couples. Wonderful tour guide Ki who was very humorous. I recommend not doing this full tour in the middle of the summer.

Great tour for hiking and nature, ask for Ki as your guide! - Long day, but totally worth it! This was a great package with multiple options for different levels of activity within your group. Ki, our guide went out of his way to accommodate everyone and ensure we all had a good time, and even sang for us! He was especially helpful in translating for me with a place I wanted to visit, and I am forever grateful. He is the ❤️ of Seoul.

A very enjoyable tour with cultural experience - Our group had Patrick for a whole day tour during our port stop in Sokcho. Patrick was very energetic and made our day so much fun. We learned a lot about the culture & food and saw some amazing views from Mt Sereoksan. Our bulgogi lunch was a feast for the tastebuds. The visits to Sokcho Tourist and Fishery Market and the temples were all a great experience. Patrick is a wonderful tour guide and I would highly recommend him.

Great day trip - Brilliant trip!!! That was my favorite day in Korea! Our tour guide Andrew was very knowledgeable and informative. From the day before the tour we were sent all information we would need for the next day and on a tour day we were getting regular updates with the time we have in each location. He also spoke English fluently which made everything very simple. The time allocated to each location was great and we didn’t feel rushed. While you would need at least couple of days to explore mountain area fully, we did have enough time to go up the mountain with cable car and enjoy the surrounding areas. Nami island is fairly small so you go around that place pretty quickly and we had enough time to explore it all in about 1 hour and 30min. We chose to opt in for rail bike option and while you can get stuck behind slow people, the scenery was beautiful and it was a very enjoyable activity. Would definitely recommend this trip!

Bike rail, real fun - We hit monsoon season travelling in early-mid July. So that made the climb up Mt Seorak a little damp and misty. But the views didn’t disappoint. Just get ready for a cardio workout if you choose the route with the waterfalls. The highlight was definitely the rail bike ride — which we almost cancelled due to the rain! But if it’s only a slight drizzle, I recommend you stick with it. It’s fun and scenic. Our tour guide Ki was also a fun and funny guy, full of fun tidbits and entertaining quips. Super nice dude who put the cherry on top of a great trip.
