Nami Island - Situated 63 km from Seoul, Nami Island is a half-moon-shaped isle that houses the grave of General Nami, who achieved a significant victory against rebels during the 13th year of King Sejo’s reign in the Joseon Dynasty. Renowned for its picturesque tree-lined roads, Nami Island is not only a famous filming location for “Winter Sonata” but also a cultural hub for local artists and creatives. The Garden of Morning Calm - Open year-round, the 30,000㎡ Garden of Morning Calm is an ideal destination for families, couples, and photographers. Conceived by Professor Han Sang-kyung of Sahmyook University’s Gardening Department while he was an exchange professor in America, the garden aims to achieve global recognition and promote Korean beauty worldwide. This artistic space harmonizes the Korean concept of natural curves and asymmetry with plants and synthetic materials, drawing approximately 600,000 visitors annually. Scenic walkways, meticulously maintained lawns, and flower beds link the garden’s 20 distinct themed sections.
