Walking tour of Palace & Tongin market - This was a half-day walking tour. Unfortunately, due to a mix-up on the trains my wife and I arrived half-an-hour late and missed the changing of the guards ceremony. However, our guide Brian was good enough to hang around until we arrived. Just a note to other potential customers who might be staying on the opposite side of the river (South)- don't underestimate the travel time by train/subway especially if you have to change trains. The tour covered the huge complex of Gyeongbokgung Palace. Our young guide was very knowledgeable explaining the history and spoke perfect English. We then walked past the Blue House which is in a very picturesque setting and proceeded to Tongin market where there is a variety of street food. Brian was very helpful making sure we had the right directions to get back to our hotel in Gangnam. Overall the tour was good value and would recommend. One of the advantages is that you wont be in a vehicle stuck in traffic.
