The northern end of the park is covered with dense tropical forest, while further south the forest becomes sparser and near the lake, disappears to
to leave the place to meadows or swamps. The rainforest is the territory of the monkeys (baboons,
green monkeys and blue monkeys). The sparser areas and grasslands are home to buffaloes, giraffes and elephants
among others. The lions have adapted to this heavily forested environment and spend most of their time
