Huge variety of scenery, great fun and you get to go places you wouldn’t drive yourself! - Our guide for the day was Dino. Friendly, humorous and informative. Pick up was easy, a stone’s throw from our hotel in Funchal. The Land Rover can fit 8 people but there were only 3 on our tour. We headed west out of Funchal and then north to Serra de Agua where there was a quick pit stop for coffee and pastel de Natas then onwards and off road climbing through the forest up towards Estanquinhos. There were stops along the way to walk a levada and admire and photograph the stunning views. Eventually, we emerged onto the plateau and headed northwest onto the eerie forest at Fanal and its 800 year old trees. From there the tour descends to Ribera da Janela and it’s photogenic rocky islet before continuing west to Porto Moniz for an excellent and typically Madeiran lunch, tomato soup with a poached egg in it (don’t knock it until you’ve tried it) and tuna with pepper and onions. After lunch and exploring the natural pools we followed the coat east to Seixal with its black volcanic beach and big breakers. Last stop was Sao Vincent’s for a taste of Madeira wine and a cheeky Pescador’s Poncha before heading back to Funchal.

A wonderful tour and many special impressions - It was a wonderful tour despite the delay due to traffic jams due to an accident. We visited many different places: forest, mountains, places etc. Because of the nice weather it was extra beautiful, sometimes a fairy tale. We had a fantastic tour guide/driver Dino

Nice experience - Very nice adventure in 4x4 in the steep paths of madeira or wildlife and the flower finds us with pleasure. Our driver spoke French and English very well , he was a very good companion for this road trip.

bravo - A very fulfilling day! We had a great time with our guide Julia, who is a solid driver and has a lot of sightseeing knowledge. She kept explaining things to us throughout the trip. After a full day of traveling up and down the mountains and witnessing many of Madeira's beautiful landscapes, I enjoyed it very much!

Brilliant day with Pedro! - Me and my partner had an amazing day, so many laughs and amazing views! Our tour was with Pedro. He was friendly and likeable from the get go. He knew a lot about the island and its history, it was also amazing how many languages he speaks, helps break language barriers so everyone can enjoy their experience. I would highly recommend booking a tour with this company especially Pedro! Seen lots of views from high and low. Pools and cliffs! By far my favourite part of my trip to Madeira. Breathtakingly beautiful. - We did the enchanted terraces 4x4 tour within the first couple of days of arriving in Funchal to get view of things we may want to go back and explore further. Our guide was Miguel, he made the trip fun and interesting. His driving was very skilful and the whole experience was breathtaking and exhilarating. We enjoyed it so much we booked another (slightly more serene) trip to the northeast, the Scents and Flavours tour, lo and behold we had Miguel as our guide again. Once again, interesting and fun, he went out of his way to make the trip amazing. Madeira is a beautiful, beautiful island and he’s obviously very proud to be Madeiran. We wholeheartedly recommend the Green Devil tours and if you can have Miguel as your guide you certainly won’t be disappointed.

A safari with Green devil is a must - We had the best time on our day excursion with Miguel. We learnt so much about the island He was funny and although at times roads and tracks could be quite scary, we felt totally safe with Miquel. Our 9 year old child laughed so much that day. Madeira is a beautiful island and to see as much as we did on the safari was fantastic My favourite part of the day all though there was many brilliant parts was the Poncha bar. We plan to return next year and use green devil safari to see more of the island.

Great day - We have done the 4x4 excursion with Lion and it has been a very good day!!! He has tried at all times to make us enjoy it, in addition to explaining everything. Highly recommended guide and adventure.
