Very Best Private Tour of Sao Miguel - Vasco was a wonderful guide--knowledgeable, flexible and funny. He will make your Sao Miguel visit the highlight of any trip.
Our group of two couples spent two full days on Vasco's tour, and he also handled our airport transportation to/from Ponta Delgada. On the first day, we visited Sete Cidades to see the crater lakes and beautiful volcano. After lunch, we went to the Caldeira Velha thermal pools, and went swimming.
On the second day, we started with a tour of a locally famous tea factory, then visited the Furnas volcano. We spent the early part of the afternoon touring the lovely Terra Nostra Botanical Garden, with a lunch in the town of Furnas, and then stops at Our Lady of Peace Chapel and a short tour of the town center of Ponta Delgada.
Vasco also handled our dinner arrangements, and was willing to extend his day to handle dinner transportation.
Overall, we could not have been happier, and by the time we left had fallen in love with the island.

Perfect for Getting a Full Picture of Sao Miguel - It was great. Got to see a whole area of the island I wouldn’t otherwise have seen. And the history was extremely informative too.

Leave the driving to someone who knows the Island and sit back to enjoy - Vasco was a great host. He was prepared and flexible with the plan for the day. We worked in a few of his suggestions with things we wanted to see. Very knowledgeable about the area

Day tour of Saõ Miguel Island - We got to see some of the most beautiful nature Saõ Miguel Island has to offer. Our guide Vasco was very knowledgeable, personable and friendly. He offered a lot of insite to Azores history and culture, and even gave us some driving tips. They came in handy when we rented a car for a day.

Great tour! - Not disappointed - My college-aged kids went on this tour solo because I ended up sick. They really enjoyed Vasco's breadth of knowledge and his pleasant and flexible demeanor. He adapted the tour to the weather at the time, and was able to answer all the questions they were curious about, as well as point out new things they hadn't come across yet. Highly recommend.

The best tour guide for the Azores! - Vasco went above and beyond as a tour guide of this beautiful island. Amazing private tour of São Miguel - Our private Jeep tour with Vasco was a highlight of our trip and just what we needed after our redeye flight. The first thing Vasco did when picking us up was to ask about our interests so that he could customize an itinerary. Then took us on a rapid-fire tour of the island to keep us from crashing from jet lag. Vasco is a wealth of knowledge about the Azores and is happy to talk about any subject. I would highly recommend Vasco for anyone interested in a private and customizable tour around São Miguel.

Great experience - What a wonderful way to see the island our guide was great! so friendly and knowledgeable. Because Telmo grew up there he explained everything about the island that you could never find in a guide book . We are coming back next summer with family and will go with them again because we had such a great experience
