Sevanavank Monastery - This tour includes a visit to “The Jewel of Armenia” or the “Geghama Sea” - Lake Sevan. On the northwest shore of Lake Sevan lies one of the finest examples of medieval Armenian architecture – the Sevanavank Monastery. Established in 874 AD by Princess Mariam, the church structures were built using black tuff, likely giving the monastery its name Sevanavank - “the Black Monastery”.
Haghartsin Monastery - The next stop is “Armenian Switzerland” - Dilijan. Located 13 km northeast of Dilijan in a picturesque setting is the Haghartsin Monastery complex (‘Dance of the Eagles’). Constructed between the 10th and 13th centuries, it comprises three churches.
Goshavank Monastery - Goshavank Monastery became a renowned religious and scholarly hub in medieval Armenia during the 12th-13th centuries. The monastery was constructed between 1188 and the late 13th century.
