Highlights

Rental is for 1 Jeep that accommodates up to 5 people for a duration of 1 day. When Booking only select 1 traveler.

During your rental you will pick the Jeep up at 11a.m. and return the Jeep 1 Day Later at 9:30a.m. We give you a map of a self-guided tour through the Great Smoky Mountain National Park to see the Foothills Parkway, the Missing Link, Cades Cove, Rich Mountain Road, Parsons Branch, Cataloochee Valley, Fontana Lake and Dam, plus much more. All Jeeps come with soft-tops and optional open-air door packages (weather permitting) and seat up to 5 People! Upon arrival to pick up your Jeep we will make a copy of valid driver’s license along with proof of full coverage insurance for a driver at least 25 years old.

You’ll collect the Jeep at 11a.m. and return it the next day at 9:30a.m. We provide a do-it-yourself tour of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park featuring Foothills Parkway, the Missing Link, Rich Mountain Road, Cades Cove, Cataloochee Valley, Fontana Lake and Dam, among others. Each Jeep has a soft-top, optional open-air door kits (depending on the weather), and can accommodate up to 5 passengers.

Great Experience, Start to Finish. - Coming from Michigan, the Beautiful, Winding Roads, and Climbing/Descending, through the Mountains, was really a Pleasant change of pace. The Clouds covering the Mountains, the Wildlife and Streams, were straight out of a Painting. The Jeep handled the trip easily. Even the 6 miles through the Backwoods from Cades Cove to the Tail of the Dragon, there was no issues. Easily Rented, Easily Returned, just an easy process. The Ladies at S.M.J.R. are knowledgable, friendly, and took the time to answer our questions, and even the ones we didn’t!

SMJR FOR LIFE - The tour we were on was amazing. Followed the map provided and it was a long trip but fun. We seen a beat and a lot of elk. Definitely worth the trip.

Great customer service! - I was really looking forward to this! Sadly the weather didn’t cooperate. Many roads/backroads that we were going to go on were closed. They called us that morning to let us know and gave us the option to switch to another day or cancel. Sadly this was our last day, so we had to cancel. I love how this company put their customer first! We will definitely be using them next time we come down!

Perfect 50th birthday present! Awesome company to rent from! - Absolutely perfect! I rented an one day rental for my husband’s 50th birthday. It was perfect thanks to SMJR! Jeep was in fantastic shape. Check in/return process was smooth and fast. Trip suggestion, via map, was laid out amazingly well. We packed a picnic lunch and enjoyed the day. Will definitely rent from SMJR again.

Highly recommend these guys! - SMJR is a fantastic company to rent from. My husband and I have rented from them the last 2 years for our vacation and next year plan to do a 2 day rental. A must do in Pigeon Forge! - A must do in Pigeon Forge! Staff is awesome & extremely knowledgeable. They provided us with a map consisting of preferred driving directions. Our low mileage jeep was spotless and filled with gas for us. You must see the Smoky Mountains from within, a jeep rental is the perfect fit. Mark & Rhonda

1 day Jeep rental - not clean enough ; worn out vehicle - The rental and check in process was very smooth and instructions on how to operate the jeep, including putting the roof on and off were very clear. While I recognize it’s an “off road” vehicle, I would have expected the inside to be much cleaner than it was (just like any rental car). It was kind of dirty (grime along the dash and seats stained) and smelled pretty heavily of a perfumed cleanser. Pretty pricey for what you get. The vehicle also had 100,000 miles on it and handled as such- loose steering/clunky. I think it’s overrated for the price and wouldn’t do it again.
