Highlights
  • Torre del Oro - Constructed in the 13th century during the Almohad era. It is believed to have stored all the gold arriving from India (customs).
  • Catedral de Sevilla - Following the city’s reconquest by Fernando III, it was decided, as legend has it: “A church so grand that anyone who sees it completed will be driven mad.” The Cathedral was built starting in 1402 atop an old mosque. It has been designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
  • Torre Giralda - The most iconic monument of Seville. It is the minaret of the mosque, with construction beginning in 1184. Standing at 117.50 meters, it was once the tallest building in Europe. The Giralda lacks stairs but features ramps wide enough for the administrator to ascend on horseback to call people to prayer.
  • Real Alcazar de Sevilla - One of Seville’s most remarkable monuments that you must not miss. The Alcázar is a fortified palace and currently serves as the royal family’s residence when they visit Seville. It has been featured in films such as “Lawrence of Arabia” and “Game of Thrones.”
  • Parque de Maria Luisa - These gardens, originally part of the San Telmo Palace gardens, were donated to the city in 1893 by Infanta María Luisa Fernanda de Orleans. The park includes the Plaza de España and the Plaza de América, which are among its main attractions. We paused here to enjoy a drink and some tapas on one of the terraces (not included in the price).
  • Plaza de Espana - These gardens, originally part of the San Telmo Palace gardens, were donated to the city in 1893 by Infanta María Luisa Fernanda de Orleans. The park includes the Plaza de España and the Plaza de América, which are among its main attractions.
  • Barrio Santa Cruz - Situated in the city center, it is filled with whitewashed houses, mansions, family palaces, flower-filled patios, and is rich in legends, duels, romances, memories, charm, and beauty.
  • Real Fabrica De Tabacos - A stone structure from the 18th century, it was the site of Europe’s first tobacco factory. It now houses the Rectorate of the University of Seville and some of its faculties.
  • Real Maestranza de Caballeria de Sevilla - A cavalry institution established in 1670, originally intended for noble training in arms and equestrian warfare in service to the Spanish crown.
  • Triana - A Sevillian neighborhood across the river, it is the cultural heart of Spain, concentrating arts such as flamenco, bullfighting, painting, literature, and ceramics. It is the birthplace of many Spanish navigators and explorers from the Spanish Empire and the site of Seville’s first church.
  • Río Guadalquivir - The Guadalquivir River, formerly known as Betis, flows through Andalusia, Spain. Its source has been located in the Sierra de Cazorla, Jaén province, since ancient times.

Best bike tour in Seville - no doubt - I reserved the sunset tour although I had already been in town for a week and seen quite a lot. I didn't know what to expect and whether this tour would give me the added value I had hoped. I must say I was extremely pleased. Emilio was not only fluent in English but highly knowledable about the local history, culture etc. and likes to talk (hhhhaaa) and share this knowledge. It was only two of us so we could cover quite a lot of ground. Everywhere we went, whether I had been there before or not, Emilio had more intersting fact to share and sometimes even correct false myths that people spread. At the end he also gave me valuable tips for local tapa bars and restaurants. I highly recommend. Thank you Emilio!

Best way to meet a new city! - Milena was a GREAT guide and this was such a GREAT way to see the city! I learned some history of Seville and was able to identify the sites I wanted to learn more about during my stay. I also appreciated that they honored my reservation, even though I was the only person who signed up for the tour on this day. A bike tour is the perfect activity for the first day in a new city. I highly recommend!!
