The Cathedral has acted as the city’s pulsating center since its inception as a mosque in 1198. The transformation into a cathedral was decided upon after Seville came under Christian governance, a move designed to flaunt the city’s affluence. The legend suggests that the original architects wished for the outside world to consider them “insane” for undertaking such an ambitious project.
Constructed in 1507, the Cathedral stands as the world’s largest Gothic cathedral! The renowned Giralda bell tower, with its base surviving from the original 1198 mosque, majestically soars above the city’s panorama.

Visit to the Cathedral - I really enjoyed the visit. It was very informative and educational. I learned many things about the cathedral and also the culture of Seville. The guide was really nice and very helpful when it came to finding the meeting location. I loved how the guide explained everything and included the visitors by asking us questions.

A Life enhancing Experience - We have been in both St.Peter's and St . Paul's, the other of the very big three, but this topped them.Perhaps because it was mid January and although Sevilla felt very warm to us NewEnglanders, it was low season and at times we were alone or with only a few people in this vast so beautiful space. Imagining it filled with those who needed to rely on the magnificently golden carved NewTestament stories as they could not read and also imagining those who carved,gilded,chiseled what we walked in now was a life affirming, enhancing experience. I had trouble on the cathedral site booking tickets so went with Viator, which can be iffy depending on guide luck of the draw. God was smiling at us as indicated by the last name of our extraordinary guide, Miguel Felix. We were about 13 in the group. We felt as if we were visiting the cathedral with a friend who happen to d to live in Sevilla and was very smart, appropriately funny ( no cliches) and knew an enormous amount of detail, which we wanted. Also in love with his city. Thank you, Miguel! He was also thoughtful of the group, which Included a range of ages. AAnd thank you also for encouraging us to climb up the 34 ( maybe 32) ramps to the top of the Girhaldo Tower. He was so enthusiastic he went over the tour time and we stayed almost two more hkyrs The peace was much needed I. The world now.

Lovely Seville - We had an issue because the booked slot for our tour didn’t exist (we booked through another agency). Naturanda staff proposed another activity for that day and arranged that we could join a tour the next day.
The tour of the Cathedral exceeded all expectations. Our guide Ismael was very knowledgeable and entertaining, presenting the right amount of detail and illustrating facts with interesting anecdotes. We learned a lot, not only about the Cathedral, but also about the history of Seville in general. We wholeheartedly recommend this tour to anyone who visits Seville only for a few days like us.

Amazing Seville Cathedral Tour - Nieves took us from the tour guide office ( of course Antonio( very helpful) is always there to assist ) to the Cathedral. We first did the Giralda tower and then the cathedral. They had an exhibition during the tour and we got to see a lot more. She took so much time explaining and giving us the history that you got immersed in it. Nieves went out of her way to give detail information so that we could learn about the place. We spent more time than planned but was worth it.

Catedral Sevilla - We visited the Cathedral of Seville on December 6 accompanied by the guide of Naturanda Alberto. Although we could not make the full visit due to the events of that weekend (Magna), Alberto tried hard to make a pleasant visit and with lots of information about everything we visited. You can see that he has a lot of wisdom around the art culture and religious traditions of Seville. Thank you very much to Alberto.

Visit to the Cathedral and Giralda - Of note is the attitude of the guide Alvaro for its preparation, knowledge of the cathedral and its history, ease of communication and friendliness.

not user friendly ,very exp - the tour was in Spanish,they did not mention it on their website. the guide just took us inside the cathedral and left us. we had an emergency and only 3 out of 5 cud make it...they promised to look I to a refund..but refused to communicate after. all in all ..very pricey tour but no value. best to book the tickets in advance on your own and avoid a guide.
