Private day trip to Tangier from Seville - We had an amazing time on this program. Jose was an outstanding guide. This was a private tour with a driver and van for 4 people. There was severe weather that week and they offered a choice of days to try to make up for time lost to ferry cancellations on our scheduled day. We had to stick with our original day and Jose did a great job to make sure we got all of our must see things done in a shortened window. He accompanied us through the whole program (even when we met our local Guide in Tangier) to make sure it went smoothly. Jose was professional, funny, well versed in the history and great company. It felt like he was a family member showing us around instead of a hired guide. The local guide in Tangier was excellent as well as he understood we were interested in the history of Tangier and enjoyed sharing info with curious travelers. We visited the American Legation Museum which was fascinating and Morocco’s history of relationships with the aid and Wurope from the 18th century thru WWII was so interesting. He took us through the souk but the part where locals shop and not to a lot of places geared towards tourists. We did visit a weaving shop where I was able to purchase some handwoven Berber pieces which I wanted. We never felt rushed at all despite the condensed program. The communication throughout the booking process was prompt, thorough and very clear. Jose really prepared us for the realities of travelling in Morocco in terms of customs so we had an open mind and could embrace the local Culture. We had two young adult daughters with us and he made sure they were always in front of him in the souk. Jose helped to create a very special memory for our family and we are grateful to have this experience. Five stars all around!

Horrible Disappointing - Viator booked me on 2 different tours company for the trip and neither of them showed up. Needless to say I never made it to Tangiers and was very disappointed. While Viator employee are nice I am not sure they know what they are doing.

Tangier Tour Guide Rude - Do not go on this tour! The local guide is a scam artist, inconsiderate, and bored of his job. Practically the entire bus load of passengers complained about it while going back by van to Seville. Save your money and spend an extra day in Spain instead.

We've been using Viator for a number... -
We've been using Viator for a number of years now, and this was absolutely the worst experience we've ever had. If I could give it no stars I would. We were dropped off at ferry terminal in Tarifa, and that was the start of the bad experience. I understand the need for security, but this was a disorganized nightmare that carried onto the ferry itself. We had to be 'processed' for entry into Morocco. The lineup on board was huge as there were only two people to process a couple of hundred passengers. There was no help from the ferry staff. We met up with our guide in Tangier and were hustled onto a mini bus for our 'exciting tour'. We were taken on a drive through an area of walled compounds and then miles of forested hills. The first stop was a lighthouse where we were met by some aggressive vendors peddling cheap souvenirs. Then it was off to Hercules Cave where we were met met by a couple of more aggressive vendors. These ones followed us everywher, shoving merchandise in our faces. Then we were taken on a walk through the cave by a couple of different guides. It was sort of interesting, but it also looked fake. Then we were hustled for money by these guys. Onto the next stop....the famous camel ride. This took place in a dusty parking lot full of garbage and camel poop. Again, more aggresive vendors. A few of our group took their 5 minute ride and it was back on the bus for the trip back for our lunch. It was just a bus ride. Really no points of interest. The restaurant was quite interesting. The decor was definitely 'moroccan' themed, but seemed old and dirty. The meal was nothing special at all. We had to pay for our drinks and when the hostess was gathering up the money, this was a convenient time to lose any understanding of English. We set out for a walking tour of the kasbah and the medina. It seemed intersting at first, but nothing really interesting. As we entered into the medina's narrow laneways, it started to get a little nerve wracking. The aggressive street vendors seemed to materialize out of thin air. We were taken into a large carpet store where we sat for half an hour in the heat, while they tried to sell the group carpets!! Really???? Carpets!!! Then we were taken into another business where they tried to sell us 'natural' cosmetic type products. Then it was over. We were walked back through the medina to catch our ferry, literally surrounded by extremely aggressive vendors. Everyone in our group was completely rattled by the experience, and visibly angry. We almost missed our sailing. The only positive was the quick processing through immigration. The bus driver met us as planned in Tarifa and we told him our experiences. He was visibly shaken by what he heard. A pleasant drive back to Seville, but a ver quiet one.

My family has used viator for many... -
My family has used viator for many years and this tour was the biggest failure ever. We purchased our tour 5 people several months ahead of time and corresponded via email on more than one occasion. We planned our european vacation around a trip to seville with pick up from our hotel for the morocco full day trip. They emailed us the night before for a copy of our passports and then the driver left us the next morning, one hour earlier than contracted and did not come to our hotel. my daughter was devastated. Please do not contract with these people again.
Thank goodness that we received our 900 something dollars back from american express. The spanish contractor has never tried to make good on this. Being a business owner, I always try to give the benefit of the doubt for circumstance beyond ones control but this is a travesty.
Goodbye viator, I hope everyone reads this.
