Seville was a significant administrative and commercial hub of the Roman Empire, later becoming one of the most important cities in Al-Andalus. Under Almohad rule, it reached its peak of splendor. With the Reconquest by Fernando III, Seville emerged as a major center of Christianity. The Jewish community also left a lasting and visible impact on Seville.
