Excellent tour. - Jordan was an excellent and knowledgeable guide. He answered a lot of questions about the dogs and mushing the Ididerod. We got to spend some time with the dogs and puppies. Even in the rain, Mom and I had a really fun time.

Great experience with the “Turning Heads” Dog Sled Ride. - Great experience! The guys, who work with dogs, love what they do and they love the dogs, you can tell by seeing how they interact with dogs. The dogs are so excited to be picked up for a ride: for them to go for a ride it’s like for your dog to go for a walk! The same thing. Also, during 26-30 min ride we stopped 5-6 times for the dogs to have water and rest. READ THESE TIPS: Viator website doesn’t tell you the real name of the business which is “Turning Heads”. We choose a pick-up location online on Viator’s website. Where is NO shuttle to pick you up from any location, just NONE! We had to drive from A to B then to C locations in 20 minutes, because there was NO service to pick us up to get to the Dog Sled Ride, and of course, NO-ONE has any information about a shuttle. Thankfully, we managed to get to the place by our car! I would recommend to make sure you are making reservation at the right place before going there.

Wonderful experience - I really was amazed by the dogs. I’m not really a dog person but the staff’s knowledge of the dogs made me very comfortable. Cuddling the puppies was great. The cart ride was fun and fascinating to watch the dog’s excitement about getting picked to pull the sled. It was really interesting to learn about the race/gear and the dogs

Puppy love - The tour guides are very passionate about the dogs and dogsledding. The dogs even seem really happy when they’re in their element. Also, getting a chance to pet the dogs and puppies made the tour more special.

Wonderful excursion!! - The kennel tour and dog sled ride at Turning Heads was a highlight of our trip to Alaska. First, Sarah was kind enough to pick us up from the train depot and drop us off in town for lunch. Our tour guide, Miguel, was so friendly and accommodating. His passion for the dogs and dog sledding came through and it was a joy to learn about everything from him. He encouraged us to interact with the dogs, let us hold 5 day-old puppies, and gave us a rundown on all the equipment needed to race in the Iditarod. The dog sled ride was an absolute treat and I'm thrilled our entire family could participate. My husband walks with a cane and Miguel and the rest of the staff made sure he was accommodated so that he could fully enjoy himself. I highly recommend this tour. You and your family will make memories to last a lifetime!

Great excursion - This was better than expected for the price, which was less expensive than what the cruise excursions would cost. Plenty of time to visit with adult and puppy dogs, and a long ride with the dogs pulling our wheeled "sled." We drove to the site, which was easy to find, but I think they do offer pickups.
