Embark on an awe-inspiring tour of the stunning landscapes around Seward, Alaska with this hour-long helicopter journey. This represents our most comprehensive sightseeing flight available as a standard package (contact our office to arrange a customized extended private tour). This excursion provides ample opportunity to take in the wonders of Alaska, such as the chance to see Bear Glacier and its immense icebergs in the lagoon, the Harding Icefield, and wildlife including bears, moose, and mountain goats. Depending on the weather conditions of the day, our route may alter, but we always strive to cater to guest preferences when nature permits. A typical itinerary includes views of Resurrection Bay, the Kenai Fjords National Park with numerous glaciers, the Harding Icefield, and a wildlife hunt.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult
- Due to FAA regulations, weight restrictions apply, there is a 290lb weight limit per seat, including everything going in the helicopter with guests. There is also an overall weight limit, if your group of 2 or 3 individuals, exceeds 530lb, please call our office to complete your booking. Misrepresented weights may result in the inability to do the tour without reimbursement.
- For safety reasons infants are considered babies under 24 months
- Each helicopter seats a maximum of 3 guests. We usually have multiple helicopters available per tour time.
- There is a 2 person minimum for this tour, to book as a single traveler please call our office
- Seating is according to necessary weight and balance of the helicopter, guest preference will be accommodated whenever possible

Our office is located just a few minutes from town, guests with vehicles are encouraged to drive to our location where there is plenty of free parking both to the front and side of our building, including sports large enough for RVs.

An Unforgettable Experience - The private one hour, Grand View Tour with Seward Helicopter Tours was exception. It was an unforgettable highlight of our trip. We flew over Seward then south along the west shore of Resurrection Bay, then up a valley passing gorgeous water falls, and then over a ridge to Bear Glacier. The pilot was a helicopter instructor, who was very professional and made us feel very safe. We flew low above the glacier, seeing blue ice among the crevasses and deep blue pools of water. We flew over Bear Glacier Lagoon to see ice flows. Flying to higher altitudes we saw smaller glaciers, most likely not viewable except from the air. On the way back down the mountain we flew over a beautiful alpine lake, and from there over an alpine meadow, where we spotted a large black bear. We crossed Resurrection Bay to fly over marine sanctuaries, where we saw Steller seal lions. We returned to Seward along the east shore of Resurrection Bay. The Grand View Tour is highly recommended.

Most unreal experience! A MUST book! - This is your sign, if you're looking for a helicopter excursion, book with Seward Helicopters! From start to finish, this was - BY FAR - the best excursion we've ever had in our lives. It is the most breath taking, out of this world views. You start over the ocean, go through green mountains with a ton of waterfalls and then you go into the glaciers. I could not get over it, I low key cried at the sheer beauty of it all!
Elise was manning the operations end was beyond helpful checking the weather and pilots. She helped pivot us to a different time so we had clear weather conditions and visibility. Due to her invaluable and prompt help, we had the BEST ride ever. She even has the cutest husky named Alpine that greats you as well. :)
Our pilot Renzo, was a Swiss pilot was a ton of experience, who was very friendly and beyond knowledgeable of the terrain. He gets you up close to all the sights and has strong communication skills, always checking if you are okay with the turns.
I cannot stress enough that if you're thinking of doing a helicopter ride, do yourself a favor that will last a lifetime: book with Seward Helicopters! Best experience of my life. Best service, best experience, best time!

Don't pass this by !!! Do it !!! - Mrs. & I took the 1 hour tour to celebrate our 30 years together. The staff was just outstanding. The pilot was skilled & very informative during the whole trip. We highly recommend it !!!

Incredible experience with Seward Helicopter Tours - This was the third flightseeing tour that we did in a week and thought it might be too similar to the previous tours for it to be really enjoyable. However, this was one of the most amazing things I have ever done and so grateful that we got to experience it. The scenery was breathtaking! It was our pilot that made this trip absolutly incredible though. He was very experienced and was able to provide the most memorable part of our two week trip through Alaska. We were able to fly so close over the glaciers and felt like we were taking part in a action movie - with the pilot ensuring that we felt safe and comfortable with this all the way through the flight. Words can not explain this tour, other than that we would pay double to do it again.
The photos that are on the website are actually the views that you experience, not from a camera with a good zoom. We saw the most beautiful icebergs in blue lakes, the coast line offered a different but equally beautiful view. We saw different views of the glaciers that we had not previously experienced and we were also lucky enough to see a bear and lots of other wildlife - despite the grey and rainy weather!
What was equally impressive was how fantastic the entire team were. I recieved a phone call rather than lots of emails back and forth to discuss my plans. I changed my mind sereval times and they were exceptionally accomodating and so friendly. I really can't recommend this company enough. We followed this tour with the dog sledding tour, the musher was equally as lovely.

Absolute Best Thing we did in Alaska - Of all the things we did in Alaska, this one stood out at the top for every one of us, in our group of 7. We did two tours back-to-back: the Helicopter Glacier DogSledding, and the Grand Tour - glaciers, Kenai peninsula from the air. Everything about the tour was also just awesome. The incredibly safe, experienced, and engaged pilots pointed out glacial and geological features, bears, goats, even a brown bear's den. The ride was smooth, safe, and the scenery out of this world - it really left me speechless. The dogsledding was also a unique and exciting experience - very authentic, and the staff were welcoming and professional.

Awesome experience - definitely recommend! - We had a fantastic time - and we REALLY appreciate the switch from 9am to just after lunch to take advantage of great weather conditions. This was an amazing view of the mountains, glaciers, and the bay. The flight was surprisingly smooth. Highly recommended!!!!!!

Amazing - bucket list stuff - How can this have no other reviews?! It was more expensive than the other tours - but if you can do it, it's worth the extra. The extra flight time allowed us to see a few special spots and even circle around for wildlife that we would have missed without the extra time. Saw two black bears right outside bear glacier, so many waterfalls it rivals Hawaii, eagles and goats galore, and so many beautiful icebergs it felt like Iceland.
Great company, great team and wonderful owners. The absolute highlight of the trip for me - riding the train down was a bonus.
