Pure adventure and fantastic views – be sure to join in! - The guided tour through the jungle was just awesome! It literally went over stick and stone, so sturdy footwear is really a must. The hike was adventurous and it was really fun to wander through the wild nature of Mahé.
Our tour guide Sheena was super cool and told us a lot about the island, the culture and the people. She made the tour a special experience with her warm manner. The trail took us to fantastic viewpoints that offered breathtaking views of the surrounding area – absolutely worthwhile!
The time was completely sufficient, we had enough breaks and could enjoy nature in peace. All in all, a really awesome tour that I can recommend to anyone who wants to experience adventure and nature!

Great private tour - Sheena provided a positive and fun experience with the hike to the Rock Pool and a relaxing time to watch the power of nature, while at the Rock pool.

Norman's family - Fairly simple route, except towards the end, a good pair of walking shoes is recommended.
Finding it without a guide is a challenge.
To do superb.

Exciting experience - Fantastic experience! It was my first hike and I made it. Kevin was our guide and he was awesome. My husband enjoyed the rock pool. It was well worth the hike/ climb to get there.

Beautiful but be careful - This was a very nice tour. Kevin picked us up and drove us to the South end of Mahe Island where the Rock Pool is. The hike to the Rock Pool is beautiful but would be challenging for people who are either not very physically fit or overweight as there are tight areas you need to go through to get to the Rock Pool. Also, we were advised by our Airbnb host to be careful in the Rock Pool when the tide is high as you can be swept out to sea. We did not jump/dive into the Rock Pool. I would have gotten into the water if I had been able to go down to the edge but the rocks are very steep and it seemed more dangerous than I wanted to chance. We sat on the rocks just above the Rock Pool and were happy with our experience. We also got to visit with some giant tortoises that are in a pen close to the beach.

Great experience - We almost canceled this tour because our guide was 20 minutes late. Ngl right when I was about to click the cancel button he showed up!! Glad we did it because the view in the end was unreal. The hiking trail was not easy, and our guide Kevin was really patient and caring the entire time. He even took amazing pictures and videos of us in the end. I would definitely recommend to other people and I'd love to do it again!

Disappointing and expensive - We were very excited about this tour as we loved the idea of hiking to a remote pool and going for a swim with a beautiful view. We kind of thought of it as similar to the cenotes in Mexico but on a cliff. It was unbelievably hot on the walk through the woods and it was only at the halfway point that we were told that we couldn't actually swim in the pool as it was dirty after all the recent rains (we had to ask as the guide did not mention anything either during the 1 hour drive to the pool or during the hike to that point). I am really not sure what the point of this tour is if not to swim in the pool. During the walk, our guide talked on the phone for most of the time (and while driving as well which was concerning). She did not provide any information about the history of the pool (geological or otherwise) or any botanical info or even give us information about how much further etc. I used my phone GPS to triangulate distance and time. My mom and I eventually turned back after walking about 30 mins in the heat and humidity AND after we were told that we wouldn't be able to swim in the pool. My husband and daughter continued on to the pool and were totally underwhelmed. The pool did not look like the photos at all and it is challenging to get down to it from the top of the rocks. Our guide was a bit nonplussed about the fact that despite the description in the listing: "Your guide takes you on a short hike to reach the pool, then you have time to jump, swim, and enjoy the cool waters before heading back" that this was not actually possible all the time. We would have appreciated knowing this before we started out. Our guide also didn't really seem prepared for any sort of emergency - no water, no first aid kit. This was in stark contrast to the other guides we had used during the week who were all very professional, seemed quite focused on the tour and made sure to point out their emergency kits, cold water and other amenities. It should be noted that this tour was more expensive than the full day island tour which I truly do not understand. Strongly recommend asking about the condition of the pool before confirming the tour and make sure you have your own water and emergency first aid kits. As a final note, the hike lasts about 45 - 60 mins and is very overgrown in parts, uphill and not very well marked, rock scrambles at the end and slippery rocks. It is definitely an easy/moderate hike except the heat is awful and it was not enjoyable at all. All in all it was very disappointing.

Disappointing - Unfortunately, we were really disappointed with the trip. It started with the fact that we woke up in the morning with the news that she wants to pick us up instead of as planned at 9 am at 8 am and we also don't get the German guide as booked. ( It probably booked a tour very late at 3 pm last night and that would have collided with the times. Am I asking myself the question? Then why do you give the times like this? ) As a result, we wanted to cancel it. Because everything has been changed! We were then able to agree on 8:30. The guide was 20 minutes late, half as bad. The drive went about 1 hour and the hike 20 min. The guide is rushed and told NOTHING. He ran ahead and was on the phone. Seemed very disinterested, unfortunately. (After Motto did the tour and collected the money) it seemed as if she had no experience whatsoever. We did not dare to enter the water, because she could not assess the waves properly and all this seemed so disinterested as I said before. There were still pictures taken and after 30 min we are back again.
The tour goes eig 4 hours our was over after 3. Honestly, I don't know what we paid 180€ for either. This was the worst tour in the Seychelles we did.

SHEENA from Seychelles TO AVOID!!!!!!! - I booked, confirmed and PAID for a hike in Seychelles via Viator. The guide was SHEENA. She did not show up, did not pick me up as planned and at the end, she refused to refund! She could not come and instead of recognising it (which would not have been a problem), she chose to say that she called my hotel the day before (saying that hotel said that I did not arrive) and keep my money! The hotel already confirmed that Sheen did not call and they would never say that I wasn't there as I booked and kept my booking (that's why Im here at the hotel!). Bad excuse from SHEENA to keep easy profit! This works has no place for cheaters! Ethics, professionalism and respect are the most important values!! Sheena refused the refund but I hope Viator will check all my proof and kick this lady out of the market for good. Happy Year to all viewers.
