Fabulous walking tour - We went for this walking tour with Ping as our guide. Ping is very knowledgeable about Singapore and very passionate about her country. We visited many buildings which we wouldn’t have known we could access without our guide. There is a lunch included which was excellent and we throughly enjoyed this excellent tour.

An excellent respite from the hustle and bustle of Singapore. - An excellent and very informative tour of some of Singapore's historical buildings and people. Ping was an exceedingly knowledgeable guide and, in addition to the items on the tour, answered all questions. The tour takes people away from the shopping centres and main attractions to places that most visitors would overlook. Lunch at Boat Quay was very good and a good inclusion in the tour. Would 100% recommend.

Well-rounded Singapore tour - Excellent well-rounded tour of the Historical buildings near the Bay area in Singapore. Ping was our guide, and she was very knowledgeable and friendly. She also took pictures for us and gave us suggestions on things to see and do in the area. Lunch was a nice addition too! Recommended.

A comprehensive, interesting and absorbing walk through time - We thought that an amble through the history of Singapore would be interesting - but we had no idea just how fascinating and absorbing it would be; particularly as it was enhanced by the erudite communication skills of our excellent guide, Ping. Clearly an educated and intelligent woman, her command of English was exceptional, and she brought to life the story of the development of Singapore from a fishing village to the present day. From the horror and atrocities of war, to the economic success of this vibrant city-state, she explained the history with enthusiasm and attention to detail. We learned a tremendous amount about the influential characters over the last couple of hundred years or so, who have all played their part in the evolution of the city - some of whom were real game-changers in the direction of that development. Ping was also forthcoming with regard to the architectural niceties of the city. We were shown around a rich variety of styles and functions, all accompanied by her usual comprehensive explanations of their place in the development of Singapore. And there was, of course, lunch! This was taken at a pleasant restaurant right on the edge of the river; and was really very good. We enjoyed not only the food - which in our little group’s case was Mexican and Indian - but also the sight of a family of otters playing in the water directly in front of us! Thus, incidentally, proving Ping’s earlier assertion of the cleanliness of the water. A far cry from what it used to be; and a testament to the continuing improvement of the natural environment that is one of the city’s aims. So….what more can I say? There’s such a lot; but the best recommendation I can make is for you to take the tour, and find out for yourself. You will not be disappointed! And if you are blessed with the charming and knowledgeable tour guide that is Ping, you will be doubly rewarded. Thank you Ping! You have certainly found your calling as a superb tour guide 😊👍

Amazing tour of the history of Singapore with Ping. - Our guide Ping took us on one of the best walking tours we have ever been on. It was because she had so much passion and personal stories about the rise of Singapore as a country since independence. We were particularly taken aback when we saw the pivotal buildings like city hall where the war with Japan was finished and papers were signed. We saw so many more interesting sites that were all weaved together with such knowledge and storytelling from Ping. History brought back to life. Even the aerial view from the “space ship” on top of the courts was surreal. Lunch is included and this makes the Colony tour number one on the to do list for any visitor to Singapore.

Really catered for what everyone in our group wanted to know and created a wonderful picture of Singapores history and how it got to where it is today. The lunch (location and food) was also excellent and was included in the price. Definitely recommend 100%! Ping also took group photos and sent them to us afterwards 💗
