Views are stunning over elbows and knees, taking in the river scene and Leshan’s skyline.
Upon arrival in Leshan, guests can have lunch at a restaurant overlooking the Giant Buddha. They will then explore the Giant Buddha and enjoy fantastic views of the surrounding landscape from atop the Buddha’s head.
Guests will also visit Lingyun Temple and Museum to gain deeper insight into the history of this amazing Buddhist site and learn the story of the Giant Buddha’s carving.

The temple faces Phoenix Lake and backs onto Phoenix Plains, welcoming the sunrise each morning and being the last place to see the sunset at dusk.
The temple was constructed on the right side of Crouching Tiger Temple during the Ming Dynasty and was originally named Hui Zong Hall, intending to gather Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism. In the early Qing Dynasty, Hui Zong Hall was moved to its current location and rebuilt. In 1703, the name was changed to “Bao Guo,” meaning “serve the nation.”
Emeishan - After the Baoguo Temple tour, the guide will escort guests to their hotel at the foot of Emei Mountain or Emei city center.

Lijiang - The tour guide will meet guests at the hotel lobby at 09:00 AM and transfer them to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, a 50-minute drive, 25 km away.
Yulong (Jade Dragon) Mountain - Today, guests may visit the Snow Mountain with the cable car to Spruce Meadow first or visit White Water River first, depending on the Impression Lijiang Show, as the show time depends on the daily number of visitors from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and the show lasts for 60 minutes.
The Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is easily accessible via a system of cable cars that take visitors to different parts of the mountain. The 13 peaks, home to several glaciers, are covered in snow year-round. Different altitudes give rise to changing landscapes, with peaceful meadows giving way to snow-covered paths and glaciers. The choice to visit Spruce Meadow with the cable car is due to its lower altitude (3,300 meters) and fewer visitors than the route to Glacier Park, as well as the beautiful view.
Lijiang Impressions Show - Next, guests will attend the Lijiang Impression Show. The outdoor performance, featuring traditional songs and dances by local ethnic people selected from villages around Lijiang, is held at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, just outside the main building, at pre-determined times.
Blue Moon Valley - Afterwards, guests will take a private car to White Water River (Blue Moon Valley). The Blue Moon Valley is an extremely blue river meandering through a lush valley of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Seen from a distance, it resembles a blue crescent moon inlaid at the mountain’s foot, giving the place its beautiful name. However, blue is not the river’s only color. If it rains, the white mud and limestone rubble at the riverbed will be swirled up, making the water as white as milk. Therefore, local Naxi people call it White Water River (Baishui River).
Lijiang Mural in Baisha Village - After lunch outside the Yulong Snow Mountain Park, guests will head to Baisha Village. In this village, they can visit the Dongba pictograms, the mural paintings in Dabaoji Palace, and the ‘ten thousand camellia blossoms’ tree, among other attractions.
Baisha literally means ‘white sands.’ The town was the first settlement of the Naxi people after they migrated south from the Tibetan plateau. It was once the political, commercial, and cultural center of the powerful, yet mysterious, Naxi Kingdom. The region became part of the Yuan Empire in the late thirteenth century. The Mu family, which administered Lijiang from the late fourteenth to the early eighteenth century, had its birthplace in Baisha. The area also played a significant role in the strategic commercial network known as the Tea Horse Road.

Guests will embark on a hiking tour to the upper part of Tiger Leaping Gorge. A 15-20 minute walk along the plank road leads to the viewing platform on the valley floor. Strong currents of the Jinsha River roar through the narrow valley, with waves slapping against the rocks. Guests should have their cameras ready to capture this spectacular view. At the narrowest point, a giant rock 13 meters (43 feet) high sits in the river’s middle, abruptly splitting the torrents into two branches. Meanwhile, the surging waves crash against the rock with a tremendous roar. A special viewing platform was built there for visitors to fully appreciate this impressive scenery and take pictures.
Guests will spend 1.5-2 hours taking in the gorge’s great scenery. After that, they will reverse the trip back to the parking lot with the guide.
Black Dragon Pond Park - After lunch, guests will take a private car back to the city center and visit Black Dragon Pond Park. At this park, they can enjoy a panoramic view of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.
This park is Lijiang’s landmark. The pool is listed in the Collections of Famous Pools of China because of its exquisite beauty. Its surroundings are all green with grass and shaded by swaying willow trees. In its waters, Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is reflected. At the pool’s far side, there are renovated buildings used for art exhibitions, such as the Moon-Embracing Pavilion with its own white marble bridge across the water, and the Five-Phoenix Temple built during the Ming Dynasty.
Shuhe Ancient Town - Next, guests will visit Shuhe Old Town and take a leisurely walk in Shuhe Ancient Town.
Shuhe, or ‘Shaowu’ in Naxi language, means the village at the foot of the high mountain. In the past, a high mountain named Jubao stood behind the village, giving it its name. Shuhe Ancient Town is located 4 km northwest of Lijiang Ancient Town. Its central part covers about 5 square kilometers with a population of around 3,000. In 1997, Shuhe was ranked as an important part of Lijiang Ancient Town, already a World Cultural Heritage site named by UNESCO.

This village has the most famous and beautiful rice terraces in Longji and requires about a 30-minute drive from the entrance ticket office.
The Dragon’s Backbone Rice Terraces is a splendid agricultural spectacle with a history of over 650 years. The most eye-catching part of the terrace cluster is the Ping’an Village Rice Terrace, the earliest one discovered by tourists and photographers. Numerous narrow rice fields dug along hill slopes form terraces connected by winding flagstone trails. Viewing platforms allow visitors to see the entire terrace fields built tier upon tier. While there, guests can also experience the minority Zhuang people’s traditional way of life. It is quite interesting to help them in the fields, try on their bright-colored ethnic costumes, and visit their unique stilted houses.
Ping’an Village - Upon arrival, guests will take a moderate trek along steps to Ping’an Zhuang Village. The walk up takes about 40 minutes. The guide will take guests on a stroll around the village, where they can glimpse the local Zhuang people’s unique wooden stilted houses and have lunch in the village.
After a short lunch break, guests will continue their terrace exploration to the No.2 Viewing Platform (Seven Star with the Moon), a 15-minute walk, a fantastic spot for a bird’s-eye view of the Longji Terraces beneath their feet.
