Lovely guide in Shanghai - We had a wonderful time site seeing with our guide Chloe. She was knowledgeable as well as very pleasant to talk to. We will definitely recommend her as well as Alana to our friends who visits Shanghai in the future.

Shanghai in transit - The knowledgeable and warm and friendly guide and the sights were phenomenal!! I did a lot of foot touring but had access to a fancy tesla for a taxi so was very happy to get a hotel pick up and drop off!

Short on time but keen on exploring, then this tour has everything you need, and more! - I've never really been one for stop overs, get where I'm going as quick as I can is the usual motto. When faced with an unavoidable 11 hour lay-over in Shanghai we decided to make the most of it and book a 4-hour tour of the city. From the moment we booked to when we were delivered back to the airport the communication, information and service was top-class. Local agent Alana contacted us within an hour of our booking giving advice on touring options and outlining how the tour would proceed. In never having transited in Shanghai before the pre-arrival information provided by Alana regarding the 24–144-hour free visa process was invaluable to put us in the right place at the right time in an unfamiliar airport. The driver was waiting in arrivals at the spot Alana said he would be and delivered us in a brand-new Tesla to Kalvin, the local Shanghai guide, in the heart of the city. Our carry-on luggage stayed in the vehicle and the driver was close-by at all times and arrived within minutes of being requested by Kalvin to take us to the next attraction. Kalvin was great, one of those guides who strikes the right balance of giving you enough detail to inform you, without feeling like you are in an episode of 'The Chase'! Kalvin was clear to understand and so much easier to hear and engage with than the many large group tours we encountered on the Bund. Kalvin's first-hand knowledge of Shanghai, having been born there, gave us valuable insights and appreciation on the development of Shanghai. This particularly over the last 30 years but also stretching back over 100 years when the historical context required it. The Buddhist temple, the Bund district, the old city, the new financial district with the amazing light shows after dark were all fantastic and provided special highlights of their own. Alana informed us pre-arrival that a dinner had been added to the tour at no extra cost and Kalvin took us away from the tourist area to a restaurant where the locals eat, and we could see why! The dumplings both fried and steamed were to die for and the noodle soup full of flavour - lip smacking good. Delivered back to the airport in plenty of time for our on-going flight we left with fantastic memories of a vibrant and welcoming city that we can't wait to go back and explore more of. If you're short on time but have just enough to spend a few hours in down-town Shanghai, then this is the tour for you.

Super experience in Shanghai with stopover - Excellent experience, we concluded our trip to Japan with a guided and private tour of Shanghai taking advantage of a long stopover. Alana our contact was very kind and professional in organizing the excursion at the last minute, and Blair our super prepared and pleasant guide, it was like being welcomed and guided by a friend in the city. Shanghai is definitely worth a visit, it's truly crazy! If you have time, do it!

A great private tour in Shanghai - A fantastic 1/2 day in Shanghai with Chloe. It was perfect. We visited the Jade Buddha Temple, YuYuan Gardens and Xintiandi. It was all so easy and Chloe explained so many things to us. Our driver was great and even with the large crowds because of the public holiday, we felt we could see everything we wanted to see. Alana was also a great contact person to give us the details and meeting point. The best was our tour was private & flexible taking care of our preferences. This was so much better than a large group tour!
