- The Bund (Wai Tan) - Meet up your friendly private guide at your hotel in the morning, afternoon or evening, and have a short discussion with your guide for your things to do list. Then hop-on the comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle to start your exciting 4-hour journey. You can either following the sample itinerary or going with your own customized one. Typically, you will visit The Bund, see the amazing city landmarks along the Huangpu river such as pearl TV Tower, shanghai tower and world financial center. Stroll down the river and have a close look of the old colonial buildings.
- Jade Buddha Temple - Continue the tour to visit beautiful Buddhist temples -Jade buddha temple. Take a stroll at the temple complex with multiple chambers and impressive buddha statues. See the local worshipers and learn the fascinating religion culture from your guide. (Jade buddha temple close at 4:20pm)
- Yu Garden (Yuyuan) - Next, heading to the Yuyuan garden, a very ancient and well-preserved garden with the history of 400 years old where to see the stylish Chinese pavilion and authentic old architectures. If you like to do shopping and have a bite of street food, Yuyuan bazaar can be a good choice for you. (Yuyuan garden close at 4pm and every Monday).
- Former French Concession - Head to French concession, the old center of colonial life. See the impressive French style architecture, learn the history of Shanghai during 1840th and take a nice stroll along the walkways with beautiful French trees. .

Great tour! Jane is so helpful and kind! - We had a great time with Jane on our tour! We had gone on 2 tours prior to with the same company, so on our third tour we had it customized. We got to walk through the French Consession and visit a park full of locals doing activities they love. We also had the most amazing fried dumpling tasting! It was a wonderful way to end our time in Shanghai!
Jane really went over and beyond on service as our tour guide. We had asked to do some shopping before heading to the airport. She took us to a shopping mall where we wanted to purchase a necklace from a jewelry store. Unfortunately we didn’t have Alipay set up and they couldn’t take our card. She helped us out in payment and we were able to pay her instead. We wouldn’t have been able to purchase it without her!
The tours with all of our Shanghai tour guides have been the best part of our trip!

Excellent Introduction to Shanghai - What a wonderful introduction to Shanghai. Our guide Kalvin and our driver both met us on time at our hotel and took us to Jade Buddha Temple, Yuyuan Garden, French Concession and The Bund. We learned so much about the history and culture. Kelvin’s English is excellent and he was so friendly and helpful we would highly recommend this tour.

Private day tour - I had a great day tour with Mary. I had specific sites I wanted to see and they adjusted the schedule of the day to accommodate my interests and desired sites - in all we visited Yu Garden, the Jade Buddha Temple, Tianzifang, and Longhua Temple. Mary and the driver picked me up from my hotel and dropped me off, and the day was seamless. Mary has deep knowledge of history and sites and was an excellent guide to help me understand the context of the sites. We also enjoyed a delicious lunch of Shanghai dumplings which was very tasty. I thought this tour was an excellent value for money and I would repeat the experience in a heartbeat.

Great way to see Shanghai with a tight timeframe - Snow was my tour guide, and she was amazing. I had a morning free before going to the airport to leave, and this worked out great. They picked me up from the hotel and dropped me off at the airport, making sure the timing was perfect. Snow filled the experience with plenty of history and details of everything we saw, and even while we were driving between locations she filled me in on Shanghai life. The tour was easy, flexible, and perfect for me to experience a little of Shanghai in the short amount of time I had. Highly recommend!

Great solo tour with Xin booked last minute - I found myself in Shanghai with a spare afternoon before beginning a week of work. I took a quick look on Viator to see if there was anything that I could book for the same day.
Fortunately this tour came up with availability for the afternoon. It had positive ratings so I decided to go for it and I am glad that I did! Pick up (and drop off) was direct from my hotel in town.
My guide Xin and driver made sure that I saw all the sights in our 4 hours together. We skipped the Bund as I had already visited there but we went to the Jade temple, French concession, Chinatown and Yu gardens before ending up in Pu Dong where we tried done typical Chinese snacks in the Shanghai tower.
It was a pleasant day so we walked for part of the trip, which was very nice.
Xin was very informative with impeccable English (which was most appreciated as my Chinese is non existent)
I would highly recommend this tour.

Authentic Shanghai - Excellent to experience Shanghai with our very knowledgeable guide Mary. She was patient and gave us an authentic experience complete with insights. Would thoroughly recommend however be mindful there is lots of walking and stairs in Shanghai. Four hours was the perfect amount of time.

Great Experience! - Couldn’t be more happy with this tour. My guide Mary was very knowledgeable and interesting. The car was a clean new electric SUV with a very professional driver. I scheduled with Alana late in the afternoon the day before. She customized it to what I wanted to see and was able to accommodate a change in my schedule to modify the start time. It was actually over 5 hours long and included entry fee to Yu Gardens and a dumpling meal at the end. Highly recommended!
