Would highly recommend - Our tour through Shanghai with Ruby was awesome. We were collected at the airport by our driver - the car was very comfortable (with massage seats in the back - very impressive to my teenage boys) and dropped back with enough time to check in for our next flight. We visited all of the sights listed (except for the commercial section - due to the rain) and enjoyed a really good Chinese lunch. Ruby was knowledgeable and great company for the day. I’d highly recommend her and this tour experience.

Shanghai Layover Tour - We really enjoyed our tour, Annie our guide was very informative and accommodating. The pick up from the airport was slick and Annie took us to different sights in the car and we got out and she showed us places on foot. This meant we could fit lots of different sites in the day. We would highly recommend the tour to anyone who has a layover in Shanghai.

Great first insight through Leo’s city tour - We had a long stopover in Shanghai and decided on an 8-hour tour with a German-speaking guide. Our driver was at the airport on time and took us to the old town, where our guide Leo was waiting for us. With his perfect German, Leo was a wonderful guide through the various districts of the city. He showed us the sights such as the Zig-Zag Bridge, surrounding buildings and Yu Garden. He was able to wonderfully combine and convey cultural peculiarities with historical context. We continued from the Former French Concession, the Jade Buddha Temple across Pudong Island for a view of the impressive skyscrapers to The Bund. We also strolled through a few alleys of the artists' quarter and made a photo stop at the Expo China Pavilion. Because we wanted to spend some time in the city after the tour, he got us not only a city map but also metro maps and, before saying goodbye on Nanjing Road, explained to us in a memorable and detailed way how we could find our way back using the maglev train. Leo garnished the tour with a quick look at certain shops, such as those for Chinese medicine, a small market with not only vegetables and fruit, but also all kinds of meat, (live) fish, etc., where people from the neighborhood shop, and a fast food restaurant with a variety of different dishes. For lunch we went to a small restaurant with a Michelin star, where we ate excellent noodles (with a sesame sauce). Leo knew how to show us special perspectives by taking us to publicly accessible buildings. From these there were great views over the rooftops or a special perspective between the high-rise buildings, sometimes also combined with very beautiful interior design. He spoke about his hometown with great knowledge and humorous love. He packaged the large amount of data so cleverly that it remained interesting the whole time and also memorable. We came away with a wide range of impressions and know that the few hours could only whet our appetite for more.

Amazing experience - I’m super enthusiastic about this experience. Freya was a very well informed guide which brought my boyfriend and I around the city, exploring the highlights. The driver caught us at the airport and we met the guide in the city centre. The guide suggested us typical dishes, like gyoza and noodles, which were amazing. I suggest everyone to take part at this trip for a short stopover in Shanghai: we spent around 8/9 hours in the city, but you can manage it with the guide.
