A fabulous walking tour of Shanghai street food! - We thoroughly enjoyed our evening food tour with Lily and would highly recommend this tour, and Lily, to anyone interested in learning more about the tasty delights of Shanghai. We met Lily at a conveniently located spot in the heart of the city, in the People’s Square area. She brought us to several fantastic spots in easy walking distance from each other. We tried pastries, dumplings, noodles, soup, skewers, pancakes and a very delicious desert. Lily was a joy to be with. She was excellent company and highly knowledgeable about the food and culture of Shanghai. There was a nice diversity of dishes, and it helped that we were able to walk around a little bit between trying food so that we could make it possible to eat more! We left the evening feeling very full and most contented. Taking this tour with Lily was a great opportunity to sample culinary delights that we probably would have been too under-confident to try ourselves. Huge thanks to Lily for a truly enjoyable and tasty evening.

Great experience and lots of food - Sunny was great and she took us to try lots of different foods. We started off with some crab pastries, stopped by a restaurant where we had noodles and dumplings, and then had lamb skewers and some scallion pancakes. By this point we were really full so we skipped the next stop (soup dumplings) and had some egg tarts and milk tea to go. Sunny also showed us around Nanjing road. We had a great time and I'd highly recommend booking with her for any of your tours!

Great tour with Linda who was very accommodating to a motley crew. - I booked this food tour for 7pm on the day we were scheduled to arrive in Shanghai at 3pm. Unfortunately our flight was nearly 3 hours delayed and after customs, immigration, and traffic we were more than an hour late for our tour. The tour operator would have been justified in canceling our tour and keeping the payment but Linda waited almost an hour and a half for us to arrive and despite food stalls cleaning up and closing down for the evening she made it work and even went out of her way to get my whiny kids bubble tea (not on the tour) and showed me where we would need to go purchase subway tickets when I mentioned that was my plan for the following day. Linda was beyond gracious and flexible and totally redeemed a frustrating day of travel and satiated hungry, grumpy kids. She also took some lovely photos for us at the gardens. If you’re looking for a custom experience with a flexible guide that runs on your schedule this is the tour for you.

Great guide, great food! - We had a great time with Sammi. She met us at our hotel and from the beginning gave us some extra help communicating an issue to our hotel's front desk. She gave us plenty of information about Shanghai and selected food options that we really enjoyed. We would absolutely recommend her as a tour guide.
