The distinctive design includes brown tiled Gothic and Tudor gables, spires, and steeples. It has been renovated to preserve its original style and today houses a hotel and is a great place for afternoon tea and strolling along the gardens.

Fabulous tour guide to see the longtangs in Shanghai - We hired Peggy (and a driver) from Jenny's Shanghai Tours to walk us through the old long tangs -- which are slowly disappearing in Shanghai.
We have used the tour company a few times in the past.
Peggy was awesome, well documented, articulate and took us to many locations in Shanghai (long tangs).
She is excellent and the tour was memorable.
