The Lemosho route is known as the most picturesque path on Kilimanjaro, offering broad views from different perspectives of the mountain. As a relatively recent trail, Lemosho is an excellent option for your ascent. We favor this route because it presents a perfect mix of lesser crowds, captivating landscapes, and a strong record of reaching the summit. Topi Adventure excels in leading climbs using the Lemosho route. A majority of our customers reach the peak of Kilimanjaro by this route, and they universally have a great experience. As such, Lemosho is highly endorsed.
The trail towards Kilimanjaro begins from the west, kick-started by a lengthy drive from Moshi to Londorossi Gate. The first two days are spent hiking through the rainforest to reach Shira Ridge. The Lemosho route covers the entire Shira Plateau, moving from west to east in a mild, rather level hike. The route is less crowded until it merges with the Machame route close to the Lava Tower.
