St. Catherine Monastery, Mousses Mountain Guided Tour (Route)

Operating Schedule: Departure time about 20:00 and we will drop you off to your hotel the next day about 13:00.

1. Jabal Mousa
Our representative will pick you up by an air conditioned vehicle from your hotel in Sharm el Sheikh in the late evening and then you will be transferred for 3 hours to Moses Mountain. At 02.00am you will then start the 3-hour climb of 2,285m up the mountain guided by one of our guides. You can climb by following a long path which leads to 700 steps. This takes you to the top of the mountain on time for the sunrise where you can enjoy a beautiful view. Mount Moses is mentioned in the biblical story, according to which it was there that God gave the Prophet 10 commandments. . Then, after walking 7 km, you will find yourself at an altitude of 2300 m above sea level. Along the way, there are stops for rest, there are tents with tea / coffee and sweets. At any time you can change to a camel (extra charge). The ascent lasts approx. 3 hours.

2. Saint Catherine’s Monastery
After getting down from the Mt sina, you will be met with your guide by the gate of the monastery, located between the St. Catherine’s mounts and Moses Mount which is the oldest monastery of Christianity, meanwhile, in the monastery where you will visit the transfiguration Church, the burning Bush the well of the prophet Moses, than transfer back to your hotel in Sharm. Return to your hotel around 13.00-14: 00 the next day.
