Go to ROAM - Our trip to ROAM was fantastic. The sanctuary is so beautiful and impressive. Jodi took us on a fact-filled tour where she introduced us to all the wolf dogs and we learned about each one. This included their unique personalities, wolf DNA content, histories, relationships with their fellow wolf dogs, and overall information about wolf dogs in the USA. We were able to ask questions and there wasn't a single question Jodi couldn't answer. We learned about wolves too and their tortured history as feared animals, despite their importance to the ecosystem. Our entire family group sincerely enjoyed the trip to ROAM and we all felt it was a wonderful and educational experience. I highly recommend a trip to ROAM.

Magical! - If you are in the area, this is a marvelous way to spend a morning or afternoon. The tour takes you past the enclosures of 12 (14?) wolfdogs. (More wolf than dog, which is why they are in a sanctuary, not peoples homes.) Staff is extremely knowledgeable and describes everything about wolves, the history the wolves in the sanctuary, and the importance of wolves in the wild. We visited with children ranging in age from 9 to 11 and they had a blast! The tour guides answered all of the many questions the kids had. We even got to start a howl! The weather was warm, but since the enclosures are under trees, it didn't feel too warm. Finding the entrance to the sanctuary is a little challenging, so here's my advice: Driving on Hwy 101, away from Shelton going towards the Olympic mtns, look for the sign for Brokdale. After driving past Brokdale, look to the right. Miricle is the 3rd or 4th gravel drive on the right. Once on Miricle, bear to the right up the gravel road. The sign for the sanctuary will be at the top of the hill on the left. It is important to call and make an appointment!!! The experience is incredible and if I could give the sanctuary 10 stars, I would!

Magical, Grounding Seattle Daytrip - Still enjoying the balance and joy of yesterday’s walk and howl at Roam, I’m very happy that this marvelous place crossed my Instagram feed! I booked the night before, and was the only person on the noon tour. I ran into traffic and called ahead. Rianna returned my call and assured me it was okay. On the tour, Rianna was full of fascinating information and love and respect for wolf dogs. Ravens accompanied us from the trees while we walked the grounds. The animals are very well cared for, their habitats are truly homes made with their physical and mental health in mind. There is no physical contact between guests and wolf dogs for everyone’s safety. That helps cut down on animal stress for sure, although several of them came to the fence and asked nicely for treats, which Rianna provided to them. What a wonderful place! I’m delighted to live within 2 hours of them. During my visit, owners Jodi and Troy were shopping for irrigation equipment, which will enhance everyone’s lives there. I look forward to meeting them next time! I will be back, next time with friends. Thank you to the four-legged, winged, and two legged pals who make this place magical.

Such an inspiring trip! Team Wolves Forever! - This was truly an incredible experience! The team was so passionate and informative about the care of these amazing animals! It’s really inspiring to see such wonderful rescue work being done, you could tell these animals were taken care of with the most love, they all seemed super happy, healthy, and loving toward the team there! I learned a lot on the tour and we talked about our passion for saving animals, and the importance of wolves in our natural ecosystems! Don’t forget to book your appointment ahead of time, you don’t want to miss this!

Breathtaking - The Roam Wolfdog Sanctuary was a lovely experience. I recently had the opportunity to attend a tour and it was breathtaking. Everyone at the sanctuary is so passionate about what they do that it's infectious. Their love and care of wolves and wolfdogs is palpable. All of the animals in their care are happy, healthy, and very well taken care of. It is unfortunate that visitors cannot pet the wolfdogs (yet! They're working on getting the special insurance they need to allow for this.) But even being a few feet away from them is an amazing experience. I learned quite a bit about wolves and their behavior on the tour and even got some displays of it from the wolfdogs themselves. It was simply magical and I wish all of those at the Roam Wolfdog Sanctuary the best. It'll definitely be a place I bring my friends to when they visit as everyone is sure to enjoy their time there.

AMAZING - AMAZING experience! Jodi and Reanna are great and so knowledgable, the property is a slice of heaven and of course, the wolfdogs are everything!! Can't wait to visit again. Worth every penny as it goes to such a worthy cause - giving the animals the life they deserve and educating the humans.

Trip highlight! - The tour at Roam was the highlight of our trip to the Olympic Peninsula! Jodi, Reanna, and the rest of the team have built a beautiful sanctuary for their wolfdogs. They clearly hold the wolfdogs’ wellbeing as their top priority. It was a pleasure to visit a sanctuary with such happy animals. The facility is modern, with a lovely office and gift shop where we received complimentary tea, coffee, cocoa, and bottled water. The paths throughout the sanctuary were easy to walk and tidy, over a flat terrain. We took this tour with our with my eight-year-old stepdaughter. There was a younger child on the tour as well. All guests, old and young, were engaged throughout the 1.5-hour-tour. We slowly walked the path that weaved through the large enclosures and stopped to learn about each wolfdog at the sanctuary and lots of facts about wolves and wolfdogs. At the end of the tour, Reanna brought one wolfdog, Riggs, out of his enclosure so we could have a closer look. He seemed happy to come out of his enclosure and comfortable around humans. I know a fair amount about environmental conservation and ecosystems, but I still learned a lot about wolves, their importance to ecosystems, and wolf conservation. My husband, stepdaughter, and I are excited to return! I’ll be recommending Roam to friends and family, too.

Great new experience in Shelton - Truly memorable experience. Passionate owners, excellent information, fascinating to see them in their habitats. Well thought out and presented. Fun to see the personalities of the animals. Great to better understand the threats to wolves in the wild and how they are useful, necessary parts of the overall environment.
