Roam-highly recommend! - Fabulous place to visit for anyone who loves animals and nature. Reanna was so knowledgeable and passionate about these beautiful dogs and the plight of wolves. Jodi has built a wonderful home for these animals and the love and care shows everywhere you look. Kudos to the team! Can’t wait to return for another visit!

Educational Tour - The Roam in the Spirit of the Wolf tour is an experience worth indulging in. Jodi's vast knowledge and passion for wolves and wolf dogs are both insightful and inspiring. Educating people and dispelling misunderstandings and false beliefs about wolves in the wild is important work, they are truly making a difference! I will definitely be back.

So cool! Ya gotta go - My partner and I visited Roam wolf dog sanctuary, yesterday. We stayed the night before at a motel in the nearest town, Shelton, which made it easy to arrive on time for our scheduled tour. The weather was a bit drizzly, but being from the Pacific NW we knew to throw some rain gear in the car - cause the tours happen rain or shine and the wolf dogs don’t mind :) Getting to Roam was easy peasy. The grounds of the sanctuary are gorgeous, and the animals areas of habitation are excellently designed. Reanna was our tour guide. She works closely with the wolf dogs and was extremely knowledgeable - easily answering all of our questions. After touring the grounds and meeting all the wolf dogs through their fenced habitat spaces, Reanna then brought a couple of the more people-comfortable wolf dogs to a central area and we were able to observe them up outside of a fenced enclosure. We arrived early for our tour, so had already scoped-out the enter/exit building with its high-quality wolf dog related merchandise (yes, we already knew a hoodie and a cap and some postcards and some stickers were going home with us!). The whole experience was fantastic! We’re still processing all the information we filled-up on, and highly HIGHLY recommend a booking a visit. Srsly, a highlight of our day…year…life!

Educational on Wolfdogs and interactive - Our 35 year old son found out about the sanctuary. Our 8 year old grandson was in town so we all went and are so happy that we did. We were talking yesterday and said that we enjoyed it so much that we would go again. We had a 90 minute tour time and we stopped at all enclosures and learned about how the animals came to the sanctuary and learned about wolf dogs. At the end, Jodi brought in two and we got to howl with the first and pet the second. This is a great cause to support and we plan to return.

Go to ROAM - Our trip to ROAM was fantastic. The sanctuary is so beautiful and impressive. Jodi took us on a fact-filled tour where she introduced us to all the wolf dogs and we learned about each one. This included their unique personalities, wolf DNA content, histories, relationships with their fellow wolf dogs, and overall information about wolf dogs in the USA. We were able to ask questions and there wasn't a single question Jodi couldn't answer. We learned about wolves too and their tortured history as feared animals, despite their importance to the ecosystem. Our entire family group sincerely enjoyed the trip to ROAM and we all felt it was a wonderful and educational experience. I highly recommend a trip to ROAM.

Magical! - If you are in the area, this is a marvelous way to spend a morning or afternoon. The tour takes you past the enclosures of 12 (14?) wolfdogs. (More wolf than dog, which is why they are in a sanctuary, not peoples homes.) Staff is extremely knowledgeable and describes everything about wolves, the history the wolves in the sanctuary, and the importance of wolves in the wild. We visited with children ranging in age from 9 to 11 and they had a blast! The tour guides answered all of the many questions the kids had. We even got to start a howl! The weather was warm, but since the enclosures are under trees, it didn't feel too warm. Finding the entrance to the sanctuary is a little challenging, so here's my advice: Driving on Hwy 101, away from Shelton going towards the Olympic mtns, look for the sign for Brokdale. After driving past Brokdale, look to the right. Miricle is the 3rd or 4th gravel drive on the right. Once on Miricle, bear to the right up the gravel road. The sign for the sanctuary will be at the top of the hill on the left. It is important to call and make an appointment!!! The experience is incredible and if I could give the sanctuary 10 stars, I would!

Magical, Grounding Seattle Daytrip - Still enjoying the balance and joy of yesterday’s walk and howl at Roam, I’m very happy that this marvelous place crossed my Instagram feed! I booked the night before, and was the only person on the noon tour. I ran into traffic and called ahead. Rianna returned my call and assured me it was okay. On the tour, Rianna was full of fascinating information and love and respect for wolf dogs. Ravens accompanied us from the trees while we walked the grounds. The animals are very well cared for, their habitats are truly homes made with their physical and mental health in mind. There is no physical contact between guests and wolf dogs for everyone’s safety. That helps cut down on animal stress for sure, although several of them came to the fence and asked nicely for treats, which Rianna provided to them. What a wonderful place! I’m delighted to live within 2 hours of them. During my visit, owners Jodi and Troy were shopping for irrigation equipment, which will enhance everyone’s lives there. I look forward to meeting them next time! I will be back, next time with friends. Thank you to the four-legged, winged, and two legged pals who make this place magical.

Scam - No idea why this experience charges 120/person. Even for people interested in wilderness, these are effectively captive wolves. Don’t give one penny to this operator.
