Highlights
  • Roppongi Hills, Shop & Restaurant - Along the way you will pass the Roppongi Hills Mori Tower building, home to many prestigious international companies, upscale shopping, and fine dining.
  • Tokyo Tower - Seeing the Tokyo Tower from the C1 Loop Hwy at night is an incredible experience.
  • Rainbow Bridge - On the way we will cross the Tokyo Rainbow Bridge with views that are simply divine, spectacular, awe inspiring. There are many places that you can see Tokyo at night but this one can only be seen from the car, and what a view it is!

On one side you will see a spectacular city scape full of lights and on the other, equally impressive lights of Odaiba island with its amazing Fuji TV building.

  • Tatsumi 1st PA - There are many ways to experience a vibrant city like Tokyo but nothing compares to a night run on the highways around the city.

Looping the iconic C1 Hwy, immortalized in video games and in car lore, weaving between buildings and through tunnels just hits different. Night scenery is spectacular.

We will take a 20min break at Tatsumi PA, a place where many car enthusiasts come for a stop while making loops on the highway or getting ready to head to, or are coming back from Daikoku PA.

Approximately 30-40min of driving in comfort and 20-30min stop to stretch your legs.

  • Odaiba District - While crossing the Tokyo Rainbow Bridge you will get great views of Odaiba, the man-made island home to residential buildings, shopping, and leisure activities. You will get a chance to see the unusual Fuji TV building among others.
  • Haneda Airport Terminal 2 Departure Area Airport Lounge - We will pass through the Haneda Airport through tunnels under the runways. If we are lucky and the time is right then we can see airliners taxiing above us as we enter the tunnels.
  • Yokohama Bay Bridge - Just before arriving at Daikoku PA you will get an amazing view of the Yokohama Bay Bridge and off the Yokohama skyline. Yokohama is a major cruise ship stop and you may see those also.
  • Daikoku Parking Area - Heading towards your final destination we will take the Wangan Hwy. This is a long straight highway connecting Tokyo and Yokohama made famous by the street racing escapades of the ‘90s and a manga, aptly named Wangan Midnight.

Ever since then it has been the artery connecting key epicenters of Japanese Car Culture.

Daikoku PA is an unassuming parking area that has been a place for nightly car gatherings for decades.

You can see iconic JDM machines from stock, classic to wild time attack builds, from drift machines to Kaido Racers, and from obscure to highly popular. There is probably something for everyone there.

You will also find plenty of Euro metal and American muscle. If you are lucky, you may see supercars, vintage classics, lowrider, and hot rods, you name it.

You will be driven in comfort for 30-40min and rest for 2hrs to stretch your legs, shop, and drink if you so desire.

All along we will immerse you in the stories behind the car culture and life in Japan.

  • Minatomirai - On the way back you get a beautiful view of the Yokohama city skyline, Minatomirai area, and Yokohama Port.
  • Rainbow Bridge - One of the best views of the Tokyo city skyline is from the car when you cross the Rainbow Bridge from the Odaiba side to Tokyo….breathtaking.
  • Shibuya - On the way back to Shibuya you will have more opportunities to see the awesome night views of Yokohama and Tokyo.

The crossing of the Tokyo Rainbow Bridge from the Odaiba side to Tokyo is among the most spectacular views of the Tokyo skyline.

The drive back will take 45-60min with even more opportunities to take photos/videos while engaged in fun conversations about cars, the people, and life in Japan in general.

One of the highlights of my trip! - This tour was one of the highlights of my trip! I haven't been in the car scene for over 10 years, but Daikoku was still amazing. We went on a Sunday night and the crowd turnout was great. The atmosphere was cool, lots of friendly people and I saw plenty of cars that I used to dream about as a kid. Our driver, Michael, was an excellent guide. He spoke English fluently and he's a true car guy. He had extensive knowledge of cars and the car scene in Japan. I enjoyed the tour so much that I would consider going again... whenever I go back to Japan.

Unique night out, even with rain, you won't be disappointed - If you like the car scene this is a must do. You're not going to be able to go to Daikoku unless you are driven there. It will all make sense when you're there. We saw some pretty cool cars! Michael was a great tour guide. He's been in the car business for decades and knows his stuff. It was a fun night for me, my husband and my 2 sons in their early 20's. Besides Daikoku Michael took us to two other parking lot meet up places and a car store that was a good shopping place. It had more than just car stuff. He was easy to talk to, nice to have around and even drove us back to our airbnb. It was a 4 hour experience. I highly recommend it!

We had a great day! - My 22 year old son and I had a great time. My son is super into JDM, but me not so much! With that said, I had a great time being part of this tour. Michael is so knowledgeable and personable that created a wonderful experience both of us.

Car enthusiasts will love this! - Teen son says ‘that was the best night we’ve had in Japan’ says it all, really. Guide was excellent, seeing over 100 cars at the car meet was amazing. Was able to get up close to variety of cars and chat with like minded people, Great experience for all.

A great selection of Japanese cars - An interesting tour with a really great range of cars. Michael explained the car scene and took us to several viewing spots. The tour started a little quietly but the final stop at Daikoku was amazing.

Underwhelming - The tour failed to meet the well-written description of "fun, passion, and excitement". The views weren't "spectacular" due to sound walls that have been erected (not the fault of this company, but still not correctly advertised). The drive on the C1 was very tame, not "weaving" as advertised. There were no photo ops on the drive to and from. Overall, the tour is advertised to blow you away with views and views and views, and all of this excitement, but that is not the case. Going to Dalkoku was super cool, and we did see some really great cars. And the Skyline we were in was clean and new, but not particularly cool. (a cooler car would have made a big difference in the overall experience.) $500 to basically drive the C1 and go round trip to Dalkoku is too much money. You can hire a private driver for less money. We were very underwhelmed and felt a bit ripped off with the cost. Michael was a great coordinator and his communication was solid. This just isn't the experience of a lifetime as implied.

Not impressed, poor planning - The meetup process was simple and easy, but it was clear that they must have oversold tickets for our particular day. Multiple people purchased the jdm ride along tickets, yet the rear seats could hardly fit a child let alone an adult. Realistically, only 1 seat was available so multiple people ended up just taking the van (a different ticket). The car meet itself was very exciting and there were a lot of unique jdm models, but I would have rather just taken a taxi to/fro if I had known how the ride situation would turn out. Felt very amateurish for a tour operator that seemingly has so many positive reviews and experience. Until the organization/planning of this tour improves, I do NOT recommend it and I suggest you look elsewhere.
