Great home style Japanese Cooking Class - Chieko-San was wonderful! She answered all of our questions and spoke English very well. We really enjoyed that it was home style cooking, making it more believable that it could be achieved in our home when we return!

Recommended experience! - Super cozy place, we enjoyed a lot and learn so many useful recipes. Lulu is a very likeable host, she made everything easy to understand, and had a really nice courtesy with my husband due to his birthday.

Worth doing! - Lulu was very friendly and gracious! She made good effort to keep the conversation flowing and easy and even though we ended up arriving 10 minutes early accommodated us with grace. The food was great and she took the initiative since the menu we picked ended up being pretty easy to add a couple items in. Very interesting and I hope to take some of the techniques home with me.

Very informative - I wish I would have done this my first week in Tokyo. I learned a lot. And, since it was a private class, there was no one else to slow us down. We managed to make five dishes! I can't wait to try them at home when I get the chance. I highly recommend this class for anyone that wants an actual hands on cooking class. We made everything from scratch, so I feel like I actually understand how to recreate them. The location was in also quite convenient. Close to Shinjuku eki, and easy to find.

Canceling without notification - Beware! My family and I were suppose to have a cooking class with them, and the evening before the class I emailed them to see if we could reschedule to a different day or a later time (we accidentally double booked ourselves). Since we didn’t not hear back from them morning of the cooking class, we assumed it was still going on as there was no talk about canceling the class. We rearranged our schedule, so we could make it. It wasn’t until we got there that we get a message back notifying us that they canceled the class the night before!!! This company DIDNOT inform us that they would be canceling our class nor did we ask them to cancel. Viator would not give us a refund. I have booked countless tours with Viator and I have never had this happen to me. Needless to say I’m extremely frustrated and disappointed with both companies and will never be booking with them again!!
