Highlights
  • Meiji Jingu Shrine - Meiji Jingu is a shrine which has the most worshippers in Japan and is one of the most popular sightseeing spots. Its vast temple is surrounded by greenery and is the city’s oasis which is enjoyable for both locals and tourists. Enjoy the spiritual atmosphere.
  • Takeshita Street - Takeshita Street / Omotesando:
Takeshita Street and Omotesando are both Japan’s leading fashion streets. Takeshita Street, the epicenter of youth culture, is filled with people all year round, with colorful and pop-up shops lined up in tight rows, and Harajuku’s cute culture overflowing. Omotesando will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2020, and as one of Japan’s leading fashion streets, various fashionistas come and go. Come and see for yourself the city and its people that continue to spread trends!
  • Tsukiji Fish Market - Tsukiji fish market used to prosper between 1935 to 1983 as the largest wholesale fish market in Japan. It closed down in 2018 and moved to Toyosu but the historical land of Tsukiji is still appreciated by the locals. There are still many shops in this old market which are busy with tourists looking forward to eating the delicious seafood.
  • Tokyo Tower - Tokyo Tower was built in 1958 and is Tokyo’s symbol. It has a strong presence amid the crowded buildings, even in a city as large as Tokyo. Although the newer tower, Skytree, is a taller building than Tokyo Tower, people are still attracted to Tokyo Tower’s majestic appearance.
  • Senso-ji Temple - Sensoji is Tokyo’s oldest temple with the large red lanterns that have become the symbol of Asakusa. The gorgeous red buildings are worth seeing and the temple is a famous sightseeing place where a majority of people visit when they come to Tokyo. On the way to the main temple at Nakamise street, you will find a variety of stores that sell souvenirs found only in Japan. The area is always crowded with people, no matter the season.

Tokyo with Mika was excellent - Our tour guide Mika was excellent! We were a family of 6 and she was very accommodating to all the items we wanted to see. She was very patient with all the kids.

Excellent tour - highly recommend - I was able to speak to Meg, my guide, and customize my day. She was knowledgeable, organized and showed me a perfect day in Tokyo. We spent extra time at some places and less at others but got just enough time everywhere. We also spent some time where Meg showed me where to pick up my train the next day when I would be alone, helped me buy tickets and showed me exactly what to do, making me feel very comfortable. If you get to book this tour, do so and hopefully you will get Meg as your guide.

A tailored Tokyo tour - Just finished the tour and it was fantastic! Being able to discuss our interests with the guide beforehand really made the day special. We focused on our favorite spots, making it feel like a truly personalized experience. The guide was not only informative but also attentive to our pace and preferences throughout the tour. I highly recommend booking early to give yourself and the guide more time to plan.
