Great tour! - Really happy that I booked this tour! It was really easy to arrange, we didnt have an exact plan of what we wanted to do but our tour guide was really helpful and give us few options and recomondations. For our guide Naoki it was his first tour but we didnt feel like it was. He was so friendly and kind, we have got to see a lot and learned a lot!

Asakusa with Nanako - I have been in the tourist industry in Hawaii for 35 yrs, so I wanted to find a local guide since it was my first trip Japan. I found this company on U tube after watching a good number of their videos. Those videos gave me the confidence to reach out to them Pre trip communication was excellent. Answered all of our question promptly, especially since it was my first trip to Tokyo, Japan. Our guide who felt more like a friend, Nanako, was very friendly and provided so much useful, local information about Asakusa, where we staying. The type information and local knowledge you can’t find on your smart phone or google maps. This short 4 hour experience with her allowed us to appreciate this area and experience what locals do vs what most tourist do. We can now spend the remainder of our trip and future trips to Japan exploring places that she shared with us during our short time with her. She sent us photos and videos from our day together along with links of the places that we shopped and ate lunch at as well as others to explore on our own. I would not hesitate to connect with them again in the future. You can feel confident that Kota and his team will take good care of you and your party. I highly recommend Howzit Japan.

Great tour, really recommend! - Had a four hour tour with Kei based around our interests and we had a really great time. Our guides were very friendly and knowledgeable and had composed a great tour for the time we had with them. The highlight was definitely the fire ceremony at a local temple, something we never would've seen if we hadn't been taken there by Kei. I can really recommend booking a tour with these guys!

A fantastic day of discovery - We had such an interesting and enjoyable day with Kota. We saw many areas of Tokyo we would never have found ourselves and learned things about Japanese culture that will inform the rest of our time in Japan. Kota made every effort to plan a day that suited us. Would definitely recommend Howzit for your next trip.

Amazing tour for a family with two anxious kids - Wow! What an amazing way to start our trip in Tokyo! I had been many times before, but this time I was traveling with my husband and two anxious tweens (10yr & 12yrs) I found Howzit on Instagram and followed along for a while. I decided to book a tour for the first two days to help the kids settle in and ask any questions to our guide, that way I could enjoy myself too! It was the best decision! Our two guides were so great and patient with the kids and happy to change up our tour as we went along. We experienced so many new places. I would absolutely recommend and will do a tour again when we return. I have recommended Howzit to all my friends & family. Can’t wait to do it all again soon!

Great experience, highly recommended - I booked Howzit after discovering them on YouTube and connected with Nanako when my son and I arrived in Tokyo. The experience was incredible—Nanako guided us to some amazing spots and helped us navigate the train system effortlessly. It was like having a friend take you in and show you the ropes. I highly recommend!

Fabulous tour! - We were lucky enough to have a tour with Kota today. We didn’t want to visit anymore of the big tourist traps, and opted for a tour of the ‘real’ Japan. We started with a visit to a temple to witness their fire ceremony, visited some local shops and tried some different snacks, followed by a local park, a yummy lunch and meander around some local streets. We all thoroughly enjoyed it! Kota was engaging with our teenagers, and tailored the trip to make it easier to navigate having a physical disability. We can highly recommend this, and would not hesitate to book it again! Great job mate 🤙

Charming Tour - We had a charming neighborhood tour of Asakusa and a couple other neighborhoods. Our stops included Senso-ji of course but also a shop selling ancient katana’s and samurai armor, a cute little tofu makers shop, ending with us watching a very energetic ceremony with lots of very loud drumming a temple in Fukagawa.
