Manga Do offers a unique experience for those eager to dive into the world of Japanese manga and anime culture. You’ll be guided by a seasoned manga artist with over 20 years of experience, utilizing traditional techniques that have been refined over the last century, enabling you to create your own manga. Participants will follow the same steps as professional manga artists: brainstorming, rough sketching, drafting, inking, filling in solid blacks, applying screen tones, and adding speech bubbles.
Don’t worry if you’re not confident in your drawing abilities. With the guidance of a manga artist, your concerns will fade away. In fact, many who shared the same worries have produced high-quality manga in just two hours.
*The minimum number of participants is 2. The fee for a single participant is the same as for two people.

Happy time drawing pets - Instructors were friendly and encouraging. We were able to learn about the illustration process and tools without needing to do the initial sketches or composition layouts.
Instructors also had good suggestions for places to buy more tools after class as well as where else to visit in the city.

A must for anime / manga fans - Fantastic experience! As manga fans this was an amazing opportunity to not only see an artist in person but to also get to know the process of the drawing.
Everyone was really nice we talked about anime and exchanged some opinions. Great time!

Exceeded expectations! More than simple “paint-by-numbers” - A great experience for my child & myself. Both the professional mangaka (who worked on Hunter x Hunter) and guide/translator were very friendly and open to questions about the process and manga industry. Exceeded my expectations—more than a “paint by numbers” session by learning real methods.

Incredible 10/10 experience - What an amazing experience! The staff were incredibly helpful and light hearted, keeping us all laughing while we worked on our pieces. The opportunity to learn from real manga artists, who've worked on some of my favourite anime/manga was something I will cherish for the rest of my life.

Fun Learning Experience - Very awesome experience. My husband and son (16) are into Manga but my daughter (21) and I have very little interest. We all enjoyed it. The teachers were amazing and we'd do it again.

Excellent Introduction to Manga Tools and Techniques - Excellent and fun class for learning the tools and techniques used in manga. Using your character idea(s), the class will help you with storyboarding the scene, developing the drawing outline, and finally transforming it with the teacher's guidance and advice using the traditional tools used to create the graphic work employing characteristic manga elements.

A must during you trip to Japan! - I had so much fun drawing my own manga!
I don't really read manga or watch anime all that much, but nevertheless this was an incredibily fun and interesting experience. I really got to learn a lot of facts and techniques that were completely new to me.
With the help of a professional Manga-ka, I even managed to draw Totoro and a manga version of me.
I think this is defininetely a must during you trip to Japan!

Excellent time, Great Instructor - My daughter had a wonderful experience here! The class was small and each person was able to have personalized instruction. She learned a lot from this workshop. The instructor was patient and encouraging to students.
