Be prepared to walk a... - I had a 20 hr layover and this was the best fit. Got back in plenty of time to make flight. Stayed in hotel connected to terminal. Be prepared to walk a lot. Tokyo is best seen by taking train and monorail and walking. Eateries can be packed near holidays as well. Great guide- knew his way around :)

Simply par excellence! - Meg our tour guide was outstanding on every count. Extremely accommodating, courteous and knowledgeable, she blew us away with not just the nuggets of insights she shared but also how she customised the tour for us as a family. Sprinkling tid bits of insights about Japanese culture, history and way of life throughout the tour she truly went above and beyond by extending her services much over the 5 hrs we had booked for, to ensure we get back to our hotel safely. Spotting our 14yr old son she promptly added Asakusa to our itinerary and when she realised that he was a Harry Potter fan she ensured we ended the tour at a cafe where they had owls to pet! She took us to the hidden gems of Tokyo that are otherwise hidden in plain sight. Super efficient and knowledge Meg also helped us plan our stay and things to do for the next few days. We as a family were truly floored by the level of service. Thank you Meg - Arigato!

Great for your must see sights and experiences - better than any tour!! - A great first day in Tokyo! Hina is lovely, patient & generous with sharing her knowledge of places, culture & customs. It was great to have some flexibility on the day. Hina was extremely helpful in navigating some purchases with us too. Just wish we took more photos!

Fantastic experience for a first time in Tokyo - What a fantastic way to discover Tokyo for first-timers! We chose the day long tour for the first day after arrival - to get a sense of the city and its various districts and see some of the most famous sights. We had a perfect day in Tokyo, and saw so much. The best part was being led by our friendly guide Yasu who was super knowledgeable about the city and Japanese traditions and very fun to spend the day with. It felt like visiting a city with a local friend who shepherds you through the complex subway system and helps you find the best places for food and souvenirs. We absolutely loved it, and would totally recommend it (and really don’t forget to wear comfortable shoes because you will walk a lot !)

A wonderful look at Tokyo. Thank you. - Farhad was amazing. So patient with my young daughter and did a great job of talking us through the sites. He also adjusted things for us to allow more time in areas that we wanted to spend time in. Highly recommend.

Western restaurants in Tokyo - I have been to Tokyo many times. One thing I noticed was that very few tourists go to Western restaurants in Tokyo. I suggest that apart from ramen and sushi, French and Italian restaurants are excellent.

Miki was a nice guy but the tour was not very informative. We didn’t see much other than trains stations & wait in lines - Miki was very nice but not very well prepared and not very communicative. We spent more time walking to what felt like nowhere or going to and from train stations. We had to keep asking him to tell us something about where were and his responses were very basic and limited. I know that shrines and temples were busy due to the holiday but we wasted so much time and really didn’t see a lot more with Miki than what I could have found on my own. Again he was a super nice guy and I know he really tried to give us a nice tour but he didn’t even try to get to know us- barely asked us questions- and it felt a little like of a waste of time and money when we really could have explored this amazing city more thoroughly and thoughtfully on our limited time in Tokyo. I should add that I travel often and do tours like this frequently so my comments and expectations are based on experience with other tours and guides. Miki was a very nice man though but maybe not a great guide for an active and curious group with teenage boys. I feel bad to complain because he was so nice and I’m sure he had good intentions but it was really kind of boring.
