Fantastic Food Tour in Tokyo! - After racing the Tokyo marathon I took my mom and brother on an Izakaya food tour around Tokyo and we had an amazing time. Our guide - Kazue - was so informative and friendly and we had so much fun with her. It was a small group but we got everything out of it that we wanted - and it was the perfect way to spend a night in Tokyo!

Interesting restaurant choices - We had a tour of three very different restaurants and an ice cream shop with the utterly delightful Kasumi. It was like being taken around by a friend rather than a tour guide. Over DIY sushi, yakitori, Goyza and a lot of sake, we learned not only about the food, but a whole host of information on Japanese culture and language. We can highly recommend this tour - you will never find these places on your own.

Great Tokyo Food Tour - Visiting Tokyo with friends, we had a fantastic evening in Meguro visiting three places on our Oishii food tour. Ririka, aka Lily, was a fantastic guide, taking us to three different eateries. She was always smiling and enthusiastic about Japanese cuisine and also very knowledgable. At our first stop, a traditional restaurant with a wooden interior where we took our shoes off and sat at a low table to enjoy sushi, Lily explained that sushi is eaten with the fingers and sake is poured and passed round in a traditional ritual. Next we visited a tiny tapanyaki restaurant on the 4th floor of a building housing only restaurants. The owner cooked our food on a tapan behind the bar in front of us and we sampled a delicious pizza like creation with cheese and fish washed down with a beer brewed in Hiroshima. Finally we visited a cafe, one in a Japanese chain, to enjoy ‘parfait’ - ice cream creations which the Japanese often resort to after a night on the town. A delicious end to an evening where we experienced different types of traditional dishes under the delightful guidance of Lily, who made the evening all the more enjoyable.

Izakaya tour - We were met by Fuyu on time in our hotel and then were taken by subway to Ebisu. There we went to 3 izakayas , first yakitori, then tuna sushi and finally some Osaka food. Fuyu told us a lot about the food and drink , all most interesting.

Great way to find local bars - Our guide Naomi took us to some great places in Ebisu that we would not have found on our own. It was very interesting to talk to her and learn about Tokyo Izakayas. The food was all delicious too!

Great experience - Fuyu was an amazing guide. She is a very kind and lively person and took us to some amazing food spots. We went to Ebisu where we normally would not have thought to explore so it was a really nice way to see the area too. She outdid all of our previous guides in making us feel comfortable and at home. Thank you Fuyu!
