- All drivers are required to get a hardcopy paper booklet of your 1949 Geneva Convention International Driving Permit (IDP) issued by the Official agency in your country. (AAA, AA, CAA, ATCUAE, et al.)
- For driving licenses issued from France, Switzerland, Taiwan, Germany, Monaco, and Belgium, you need a JAPANESE TRANSLATION of your local license. You can obtain the physical copy from JAF office (Japan Automobile Federation).
- 1968 Vienna Convention, IDA, IAA or any other permits acquired online are NOT RECOGNIZED by Japan.
- Online copy or any digital copy of your permits are NOT valid.
- Driving permits from Indonesia, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Brazil, Costa Rica, Colombia, Kuwait, Qatar, and some countries are NOT ALLOWED to drive in Japan, please check if your country issues the 1949 Geneva Convention Permits.
- Please obtain your permits before leaving your country.

They see me rolling 🏎💨 - Cruising the streets of Tokyo with our guide-driver, Adam, was an absolutely amazing experience! If you're in town, you absolutely must do this. The views are incredible, and there's no better way to enjoy it than by dressing up in costumes of your favorite cartoon characters from when you were young.

Surreal, great experience! - Surreal experience driving go-kart in traffic in the biggest city in the world. Maybe most surreal that I felt safe the entire time. Much thanks to our great guide. Fantastic experience!

Great - This experience was great. Took lots of photos, was a little too hot to wear a costume. Go karts went quite fast, no time for hesitation in the busy city traffic, guide did a great job on signalling where to go. Reception guy could of been a little more welcoming,

One of the best experiences you can have in Tokyo! - This is an absolute must-do activity in Japan. It was awesome!!! Spent a solid 1.5 hours riding around the streets, seeing sights like Tokyo tower, Shibuya crossing, Tokyo Olympic stadium. Many cool interactions with locals and tourists alike filming us and waving and smiling. It was a once in a lifetime experience and more than worth the money. Our tour guide, Ren, was wonderful. Extremely knowledgeable about the roads in the area, very friendly and laid back, great at getting pictures of us as we stopped at different sights. Seriously couldn’t have imagined a better way to end off this trip to Tokyo. I will absolutely drag whoever I can convince to visit with me next time to Monkey cart. These guys are seriously the best. 10/10!!!!!!

A must do. - The best a must do. Our guide Kevin was fantastic, he made us feel safe and explained the sites as we went along. I couldn’t recommend this experience enough.

Drifting in Tokyo - Recommendations:
- Acquire your international drivers license before going to Japan. I went to the AAA to get mine.
- They do not allow you to record or take photos with your phone while driving (it’s against the law), so get a GoPro to attach to your helmet or chest.
- Bring your passport if you’re an international traveler (they have a pouch in the front of the Go Kart).
Now that’s out of the way. Where do I start….THIS WAS SUCH A GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!! You get to drive thru the streets of Tokyo! It felt great speeding thru tunnels, being under the Tokyo tower and driving thru Shibuya crossing. We spent approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes driving in the Go Kart. You also get to choose what outfit you want. I selected Charizard for one onesie. I didn’t find anything wrong with my experience. When I come back to Japan I’m taking friends and family on this experience. I highly recommend this activity; it won’t disappoint.

Uzi is AWESOME!!!!!! - This was an AMAZING experience!!!! Driving down the street in go karts while all the people look and stare at you and gawk. Uzi is an awesome guide. He took a lot of awesome pictures of all 5 of us. He had us rotate positions to make sure everyone got pics in the front of the pack. There were sooooo many people waving at us and taking pictures of us as we drove by. All the kids got excited and waved and pointed at us to there parents as if to say "I want to do that". Uzi made sure to go slow through areas of interest so we could stop at the red lights and take lots of pictures ourselves. I would HIGHLY recommend this tour during the day and especially at night when the city is all lit up. Thanks again for EVERYTHING Uzi!!!!!!!!!!!

The best! - The Go-kart tour was absolutely brilliant. Best 90 mins you can do. Issam was an absolute legend as guide. Felt a little cautious for the first 5 minutes or so with all the traffic but once you get the confidence going it really is the best way to see Tōkyō. Would highly recommend.

Poor communication - Instructions were poor on the right location. I ended up at the wrong location. It was fine as they were going to reschedule me for the 2 pm tour. They asked for my international license . I gave him my passport and drivers license . He said that did. It qualify and to not go to the other destination since they would not let me drive. Bad experience
