ENJOYED my Ikebana Class - Nobu is a good teacher. Explaining the basic concepts of Ikebana in clear English. Tailored class specifically to my skill level. I am happy even though I was only student, the class went ahead. Would come back again for another class when I'm in Tokyo. Highly recommended.

Wonderful experience learning about Ikebana Arrangements. Highly recommended. - Nobu Sensei was excellent in teaching me all about Ikebana according to my previous skill level. Very patient explaining all the steps slowly and clearly. Her English is good that I can understand the intricacies about arranging the special autumn flowers she had prepared. Truly enjoyable class. Highly recommended. I will go to another class at more advanced level if I'm ever in Tokyo again.

Unique, Informative, Relaxing, and Great as a Group Experience - Whole family loved this! I highly recommend booking this since it’s a more unique experience. As the itinerary planner for my family trip to Tokyo, I wanted to add a private, group activity that allowed us to learn a little bit more about Japanese culture. I fortunately came across Nobu’s listing for an Ikebana experience and thought this would be an awesome activity since both my husband and mom love plants and gardening. The session was conducted in english and was private to my family of 5 (mom, dad, brother, and husband - all over age 30). Nobu’s studio was easy to find, clean, and comfortable. We accessed the studio via stairs and it did not seem like elevator access was available (just fyi for anyone w/ mobility needs). Nobu’s session was very informative. Nobu taught us some principles of Ikebana and had live examples available for us to reference. she even had the english names of the plants we’d use! I appreciated that level of thoughtfulness. This portion was interesting because I knew nothing about ikebana prior so it was a very good intro. The flower arrangement portion was so fun and relaxing. There were plenty of materials (flowers) available so people could get creative. Every single person in my family thoroughly enjoyed making their own arrangement. We had ample time to make our ikebana to our liking, no one felt rushed. We got a lot of encouragement from Nobu while we were doing our arrangements :) she even had a place for us to display our ikebana for photos! Lastly, Nobu had green tea and mochi for us as a concluding snack. It was the perfect way to end the session. Thank you so much, Nobu!

Enjoyable Experience - Nobu (our instructor) gave us an initial presentation of some of the principles of ikebana and then we had time to form our own pieces. The time went by so quickly! We ended with tea and a sweet treat. We had an enjoyable experience and left with a few ideas on composition. Nobu was very sweet and kind.
