A great family event - A great blend of traditional and modern performance. If you are looking for an energetic, interactive and intimate hour of entertainment in Shinjuku, look no further! The performances are amazing and the costuming is exquisite. If the kids like anything ninja-related, they’ll be mesmerised.

Great show in heart of Kabukicho - We had a great time at the ninja show. It's an entertaining show that combines dance, and taiko (Japanese drums). The show is created by a kabuki actor which allows you to learn a little more about this Japanese art. You will also have the opportunity to practice shuriken!

Entertaining show while in Tokyo - It’s a nice cultural show if ever you’re in Tokyo. I watched it with my family and we enjoyed it. The T-shirt that comes with the show is very good quality. It’s all worth the money.

It was ok. - The show is probably interesting for those new to Japan and Asia. The performers are all very good and has good lighting and video backdrop. Because of the small room you feel like you're very close to the performance and they actually come down the side aisles. The club itself is very basic, not particularly comfortable. I think it may good for families especially if weather is bad and you are looking for something to do indoors. Kids might enjoy the ninja performances, and having the chance to practice their ninja throwing skills at the end. Also those interested in modern Cool Japan might enjoy the second half of the performance with the modern dancing. If coming with family I recommend watching a daytime performance as in the evening the area has a lot of young women standing in the street outside trying to get people to go to their bars. Felt time was padded out by the host asking everyone where they were from ( I came for a show not this!) and their food recommendations.

Really think about if you want to spend your money on this - This is great for kids, gen-Xers and boomers. If you are millennial or Gen-Z you will find this cringey at some points. The performers are great at what they do and very talented but the vibe from the 1st show to the 2nd is very different and not explained at all. The second show whilst the performers are talented, feels like an advertisement for the club. The MC is also so annoying. Very Very American in the worst way.

Half Ninja half techno! - The early part of the show covers some Ninja history and then a traditional kabuki style performance with excellent dancing and story telling. At the end of the show there was the opportunity for the audience to participate in shuriken throwing although they were plastic and didn’t really fly! You could also have your photo taken with the performers. In between was some juggling and a dance routine to a high tempo techno beat which whilst well executed had nothing to do with Ninja as far as I could see. The compere who introduced each part of the performance was very professional but I felt part of her role was to pad out the show: she asked each individual member of the audience where they were from and what they were doing in Japan and then after the first kabuki act again went round the audience asking them what they thought of the performance and who was there favourite character. This felt unnecessary and I found it uninteresting. Overall if you want to see a show with some traditional kabuki acting with a Ninja flavour then it’s fine but the rest is not very Ninja!!

It was ok - The show is staged in a basement level nightclub and has a musty smell to it. A lot was made that the show was the only ninja authorised show of its kind but The show itself needs some development to make it more entertaining. It was nice that the audience were able to have a got at the throwing stars, but the audience weee better at it than the supposed ninja expert! We were given a goody bag with T-shirt at the end, which was a nice touch. Overall it has potential to be a great experience, but unfortunately it’s not quite good enough in the current format to compete with what the rest of Tokyo has to offer.

Just OK - The DJ was entertaining and the dancers were good but the rest of the show was pretty boring. Save your money.
