- Arakurayama Sengen Park - This park starts at the base of Mt. Arakurayama and stretches up the mountain. After climbing 398 steps, you’ll reach an observation deck that provides a panoramic view of Fujiyoshida City and the towering Mt. Fuji. While the Spring sakura (cherry blossom) season is ideal for photographing the iconic scene of Mt. Fuji, cherry blossoms, and a five-storied pagoda, the park offers breathtaking views year-round that change with the seasons.
- Mt. Fuji 5th Station - Situated 2300 meters above sea level, the fifth station of Mount Fuji is located halfway up the mountain. The Fuji Subaru Line (Yoshidaguchi) 5th Station is the most frequented among Mount Fuji’s 5th Stations. It’s an excellent spot to view the mountain’s peak, and there are numerous gift shops and restaurants to enjoy.
- Oshino Hakkai - Oshino Hakkai consists of eight scenic ponds in Oshino, a small village in the Fuji Five Lake region, nestled between Lake Kawaguchiko and Lake Yamanakako. These ponds are remnants of a former sixth lake that dried up several hundred years ago. They are fed by snowmelt from Mount Fuji, which filters through porous lava layers for over 80 years, resulting in exceptionally clear spring water that is highly valued by the locals.

Depart from Tokyo by bus and arrive at Kawaguchiko Oishi Park where you can capture beautiful photos with lake Kawaguchi and Mount Fuji in the background. Continue to Arakura Sengen Park, located halfway up Mount Arakura in Fujiyoshida in the Yamanashi Prefecture. Take in the panoramic views of the city with Mount Fuji in the background and admire the cherry blossoms in Spring.
After that will be Oshino Hakkai, one of the most famous spots in the Fujisan area. You can see the 8 different lakes located there and taste the water from Mount Fuji. The last spot you will go to 5th Station (half way) of Mount Fuji, which is 2300m high. You can enjoy some special food or buy unique souvenirs here, with very close view of top of Mount Fuji. In winter, we will go to 4th Station/Mt. Fuji 1st Station or Yamanakako Hananomiyako park to see the diamond fuji sunset view instead.

Great Tour - It was a really good tour--fun guide who spoke very good English, everything on time and of course great viewing of Mount Fuji. Would highly recommend it.

Beautiful Mt. Fuji - The fifth place was open and we got some really good pictures at the other parks of Mt. Fuji. The tour guide taught us how to pray at the shrine which is very unique in Japan.

Must do tour! - Amazing to see Mount Fuji in person. Enjoyed all of the stops on the tour. Clean and spacious bus and very friendly, funny and knowledgable guide Jeff. Even though the drive from Tokyo is a bit long it never felt this way as always something to see from the bus.

Mt.Fuji - Great trip to Mt. Fuji , excellent guide.
One suggestion about pick up address - need to mentioned B2 Platform jn English instead of Japanese for tourists. It is 7 -10 mins walk from Tokyo station.

An excellent all rounder - At the fifth station on Mnt Fuji it was enveloped in cloud but nearing our departure the clouds parted and we saw the mountain in its full glory

Fuji was nice, but experience not good - Mount fuji was nice to visit, but rest overall not good. Skipped a stop in the tour, long delays (had to figure out a way to go back to Tokyo by myself) and tour operator with an English hard to follow.

Horrible experience driver no show and charged 500$ - What story should we share. The driver of the Mount Fuji private tour never showed up and we didn’t go to Mount Fuji thru Viator. We called the local number given multiple times and no one picked. We called Viator so many times and they also couldn’t help us other than saying local tour driver is not picking up call and we will send them an email.
Viator really sucks. Horrible experience with couple of Mount Fuji tours booked via Viator
First, we booked a Mount Fuji trip on January 2 2025 8 AM for three people booking reference number 1212470831. We couldn’t find the the bus stop location and whenever we tried contacting the local driver to get information about the bus stop, nobody picks up the phone. finally we couldn’t find the bus stop location and we missed the bus. We lost around $200. We called Viator and they said they will request for a refund. We didn’t receive that yet, and looks like we are never going to receive it too.
Viator made us book a second tour saying it’s Mount Fuji private tour on Jan 3rd 2025 8 am private tour taxi with English speaking driver with platinum tours booking reference number 1212799675. And when I requested to please send a private cab to the hotel next to the Narita airport where I was residing instead of sending it to the Narita Airport terminal the Viator contact person lady said airport is easy and booked our pick up location Narita airport. and we couldn’t find the driver from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM at Narita airport terminal one. And whenever we tried calling platinum tours local driver number provided on the booking no one picks up.
When we called Viator , the gentleman said they’ll send platinum tours an email. And we didn’t get any response yet. So this time we lost $500. I am not going to accept this nonsense.
Also We lost couple of hours of precious time and all the money. When I checked the reviews for platinum tours that Viator book for me the reviews show horrible ratings. When there’s no credibility with platinum tours why did Viator book ticket thru platinum tours
Viator doesn’t seem to be a credible website it seems to be a spam to us. Therefore, if you do not cancel all my bookings that we had booked thru Viator and refund my money.
I will go ahead and escalate the case and try to sue this website Viator company.
