Great way to keep connected. No problems here. - We rented through Ninja Wifi. We picked up and dropped off our unit at the Kansai airport. I'm sure the directions on the email clearly stated where to pick up our unit, but, we first went to the wrong Ninja wifi kiosk. The person at the desk politely told us that we were at the wrong place for a pickup and told us how to get to the correct kiosk for pickup. Picking up the unit was quick and easy. We purchased the unlimited plan and the insurance direct from the Ninja wifi website. At that time, a backup battery was free when the insurance plan was purchased. We had a minimum of 4 (and sometimes as many at 7) devices connected to the router. It performed perfectly. The only time the unit seemed to get hot was when we were on a train. We are guessing that the unit was working hard to find connections as we zipped along the tracks from town to town. Returning the unit was fast and easy. We just went to the first kiosk that we had found before and dropped the unit off. This option was definitely cheaper than paying for the International Plan on Verizon for four phones. The only time it became a challenge was when the people in our group split up and the person(s) with the router wins. I was usually the one without the router. I just had to plan ahead of time or look for a Starbucks along the way. Wifi is available in some areas, but it either requires you to read and understand the Japanese language, or you are allowed wifi access for a limited amount of time. Having a portable router made it so much easier. Highly recommend!!

May Trip to Japan - The wifi device worked really well even in some of the mountains tracks in the Kii Peninsular. Would recommend this service to anyone visiting Japan
