Highlight of Tokyo visit - Visited places we wouldn't have found on our own. We were guided around interesting parts of the entertainment district, and tasted delicious sushi, barbecued wagyu beef and sampled saki. Our guide was great. He gave us background information on traditions, food and culture. A very enjoyable experience.

First time food tour with a general good experience - It was a good experience. It’s my mother and I’s first trip to Japan. We had a private tour with the company and our tour guide Masa was very friendly and helpful. He’s knowledgeable and taught us different things about Japanese culture. He was also helpful with any questions that my mother had and guided us through the city. He’s also a good photographer and took a lot of our photos. He also assisted us in getting an uber to get to our hotel The food was delicious! We had three stops where we went to a sushi restaurant, wagyu place, and a snack bar. I had a edo period sushi style which consists of three different sushi that were 4-5x as large as a regular sushi. The wagyu was also flavorful and taste juicy compared to some of the other beefs back home. Different kinds of places but each one was good. I recommend anyone to take this food tour for their first time in Japan.

Great evening food tour in Shinjuku - We really enjoyed this food tour and Hiro was a great guide. Don’t have a big lunch, because you’ll get eight pieces of sushi followed by a feast of Wagyu beef, yakinuki style. This was also a great way to see some of the sights of Shinjuku after dark, including some atmospheric hidden alleys. Recommended.

Best way to see Shinjuku! - Fantastic tour! This is the best way to see and experience Shinjuku! Ichan was a wonderful guide and showed us multiple locations, including Golden Gai and a beautiful hidden Shinto shrine. The food was delicious - you will be very full after this. Lots of vegetarian options if you would like!

Knowledgable tour guide/ great spots! - My wife and I signed up for the Tokyo Night Foodie Tour via Magic Trip in late June hosted by the wonderful tour guide, Icchan. We had such a great time walking the streets of Shinjuku and learning about Japanese culture. Iccha has spent a lot of time in Western countries and has great insights into the cultural differences. We went to two different restaurants, one for sushi and another for wagyu -- so my one tip is to come on an empty stomach! It was a lot of food. The night's highlight was when Iccha brought us to a Japanese candy bar. It's not a spot we would have found on our own or on Reddit.

Disappointed - Not worth 140 dollars. The food was good but I have been on food tours for much less and was given more good and high quality food. The restaurants were not interesting and could have been places I could have gone on my own. I was hardly told anything about the area and felt like I was just escorted to different restaurants. Also, I was the only one on the tour and felt a bit awkward. I usually get tours to meet other travelers. I honestly don't see how this company justifies 140 dollars for the tour. Aiko was nice but again, it felt a little awkward. The last place was a candy drink spot, which I felt was a little cheap. I would avoid this tour completely.
