Shinjuku Station - What is Tsumami-zaiku:
Tsumami-Zaiku” is a traditional Japanese craftwork that is still used from 200 years ago. Designated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.
They are made by pinching small, square-cut pieces of cloth, turning them into a lot of seasonal beautiful designs. (Such as flowers, birds ,and more.)
For this lesson we will be making flower using traditional starch glue and crepe fabric.
Experience:
After meeting at Shinjuku station, we will move to the venue together.
- Choose the type “2 way clip” or “magnet”.
- Next, choose a color from about 40 different fabrics to make petals and leaves.
- Soak the cloth in glue and shape it.

Select the center parts and put on it.
I will teach you how to make it carefully, so there is no need to worry.
Clumsy people and children can also challenge. Make everything in your favorite colors and enjoy.
A storage box is also included, so you can take the finished product home with you.
