Your group will spend 1 hours here, exploring the town and taking in lunch. This once significant outpost during the Edo period is rich in architectural history. Famous for its timber craftsmanship and rowdy festivals this village is a rare gem among the towns and villages of this mountainous region. - Takayama - Next stop is Takayama, you will spend 2 hours here exploring this beautifully preserved old town, famous in Japan for carpentry and Sake brewing. Winter Wonderland - This tour exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend it. The tour was tailored specifically for what we wanted to do. I thought our driver/guide only transported us to each location but instead after driving us there, he took us on a walking tour of each location. Our guide, Tetsuro, was great. He is very personable, telling us fun stories and interesting facts. We were lucky in that it was snowing when we visited and the views were spectacular!

Kanazawa Day Trip - Must do when in Kanazawa.
We visited shirakawa go, a magical little town.
Then headed to Takayama, a samurai town with a lot of history. Our driver recommended us to spend more time in Takayama as there is a lot to see and do, which was better idea.

Fantastic Tour - thank you! - We booked the 9 hour tour to Shirakawago, Hida Furukawa, and Takayama.
Yuuka was a great driver and well informed about the various cities and sites.
In addition to being a knowledgeable guide, she was very helpful picking out authentic local dishes for lunch and bringing us to a sake brewery in Hida Furukawa.
Yuuka also went out of her way to help us pick out a souvenir for our little girls.
Great tour if you are looking to visit 3 places of interest in one day.

Must do Tour. Beautiful places to see. - Amazing tour!! Our guide Yuuka was such a lovely lady who showed us around Shirakawago and Takayama. It snowed when we were there which made it spectacular. Yuuka’s knowledge on the towns was very insightful and we got to appreciate the area on a different level. This is a must do tour if in the region.

Best Kanazawa Guide - Jun (Junki) was such a wonderful driver and guide - he was friendly and able to speak freely in both Japanese and English for our small group of three. He kept a flexible schedule to make sure we got to the places we wanted to and didn’t rush us. We decided to just visit Shirakawago and Takayama We had a terrific day thanks to his help.

I highly recommend Kanazawa Tours and in particular, their experienced guide, Mr Tetsuro. - The guide Tetsuro was friendly, engaging and knowledgeable. I appreciate him sharing the rich history and culture of Kanazawa and the surrounding region. He was patient in accommodating my requirements. For anyone visiting Kanazawa, an excursion to Shirakawago, Hida Furukawa, Takayama are a must. The tour company Kanazawa Tours exceeded my expectations.

Very nice and well educated guides! - We booked a full day tour in Takayama, the tour from Takayama via Shirakawago to Kanazawa and full day in Kanazawa from Kanazawa Tours. All guides have been excellent and we enjoyed all three days.

Fall visit - Tetsuro provided for a wonderful day yesterday. We appreciated you his flexibility with stopping for breakfast befits starting the day. The photos are he took are wonderful and he was very kind to share them with us. We enjoyed learning so much from him and just sharing the day.

Best visit to Kanazawa! - Nozomi was a wonderful guide through Kanazawa. She was extremely helpful, personable and was very insightful in understanding our interests. It was an amazing fun filled two days. The visits to artisanal shops were terrific. Our favorite activity was a casual soba lunch in a small restaurant in the mountains with Nozomi and our driver, who was also wonderful.
You could not have a better experience than with Nozomi!
