This fairy-tale village is bound to inspire you as one of Japans most picturesque sites. - Hida Furukawa Old Town - Your group will then be whisked off to the canal lined streets of Hida-Furukawa. Your group will spend 1 hours here, exploring the town and taking in lunch. This once significant outpost during the Edo period is rich in architectural history. Famous for its timber craftsmanship and rowdy festivals this village is a rare gem among the towns and villages of this mountainous region. - Takayama - Next stop is Takayama, you will spend 2 hours here exploring this beautifully preserved old town, famous in Japan for carpentry and Sake brewing. Takayama prospered during the Edo period and this is evident in its layout, beautiful buildings and cultural preservation. - Kanazawa Walking Tours - Our driver will bring you back to your hotel or accommodation in Kanazawa by Dinner time

Best visit to Kanazawa! - Nozomi was a wonderful guide through Kanazawa. She was extremely helpful, personable and was very insightful in understanding our interests. It was an amazing fun filled two days. The visits to artisanal shops were terrific. Our favorite activity was a casual soba lunch in a small restaurant in the mountains with Nozomi and our driver, who was also wonderful.
You could not have a better experience than with Nozomi!

This was a great trip!... - This was a great trip! Yuuka had a lot of knowledge about the areas and was very friendly and helpful. The different towns were unique and it was a nice change from the busier cities. Still a lot of tourists though so we were happy the tour left at 8.

Interesting day trip - Our guide/driver is amazingly personable, friendly and a competent driver. Is lots of driving in a day but we get to see the scenic mountain and country views of the Hida region.

Takayama & Shirakawago - Great personalized trip to Takayama and Shirakawago. Tetsuro answered all our questions and tailored it to us. Our driver was fantastic. We explored the market and craft shops in Takayama and the Samurai home. Saw the mountain village of Shirakawago. The A-frame structures were so cool. The views were amazing. Thank you. Highly recommend

Great day out - Great day! Driver, Hiro, arrived on time and was very helpful in explaining the layout for the day as well as sights and history as we drive. His English was very good and he was easy to understand.
We visited 3 towns throughout the day. The first a historic village, which was interesting and has a hilltop view of the village - be prepared to walk uphill or take the shuttle. Very scenic location but does get crowded. To visit inside some the history homes, there are small extra charges for admission.
The second town was beautiful with a canal running through it full of over 1000 carp. Small historic shops including a candle making store owned by a 7th generation candle maker. Great restaurants for lunch including Hida beef specialties - perhaps the best steak we’ve ever eaten!
Third stop was Takayama, historic old town. Very busy with tourists and lots of stores and restaurants. For us, we would have preferred to skip this location and spend more time at the previous two stops.
Overall a great day - lots of driving and walking but wonderful to see other historic areas away from Kanazawa.

Five star! - This an excellent tour, well planned and organized. Our tour guide/driver Masahiro-San is young but experienced. He speaks excellent English and is willing to help. Everyone in our group enjoyed the tour. Highly recommended.

Great experience despite inclement weather - We had a wonderful experience with Junpei and Kanazawa tours !
We asked Junpei to include Gokoyama in the tour if possible although it was not listed in the itinerary, he happily obliged.
We ended up covering all the locations and he also gave us recommendation on which points to not miss etc!
Highly recommend Kanazawa tours !
