Shirakawago 1 day private tour - Mr Yama is an excellent guide who introduces the history of Shirakawago well. He brought us to all the key locations in that area. After which, he brought us to view the waterfall. Throughout the journey, we are impressed with Mr Yama’s professionalism. He is friendly and respectful. On top of that, he is very patient as he waited for us a few times throughout the trip. Definitely a very good English speaking guide! Highly recommended! - Daniel and Samson

Shirakawago and hiking one day private tour - Tour guide Yama San was friendly and helpful , he has guided us for a wonderful trip throughout the journey especially along the way to visit the ‘big tree’ , it was an amazing experience throughout the hiking journey and grateful that finally be able to reach the destination of the ‘big tree’. The onsen experience in a public onsen with the local people also a very memorable moment .I will definitely recommend friends to experience this package whenever they visit Takayama .

Great private tour of a beautiful area! - Despite the rain we had a great day with our lovely guide Yama, in our own private tour. We were picked up from our hotel in a comfortable family van. First we visited the beautiful UNESCO listed town of Shirakawa-go. Yama was very informative and guided us through the maze of streets in the village and its shrines. We then had a delicious lunch in a local restaurant and got to sample the area’s specialty, Hida Beef. After that we were driven to a lovely waterfall area. This was followed by a visit to an amazing natural onsen (hot spring) beside a river - a truly unique cultural experience for us all! We loved this so much that Yama took us to another onsen that was more traditional, with separate indoor and outdoor springs for men and women. It was so beautiful to be able to sit in the hot springs and gaze at the mountains. It’s like nothing we’ve experienced before!
