Best Day in Shimuzu - Hero was an excellent tour guide. We loved venturing from city and the experience at the lake was serene, at the waterfalls over the top and at the Shrine very peaceful.

Shimizu port tour - This tour was the highlight of our cruise around Japan. Our tour guide Michiko was friendly, patient and explain everything in detail in perfect English. The waterfalls were great and the views of Mount Fuji: exceptional!

Knowledgeable, Kind & Worth Every Penny - Local Partners was our lucky find, and we are so glad we did the Mt Fuji tour with them. Nobuko, our guide, was charming, friendly, patient and knowledgeable. She did everything she could to make the drive dynamic, culture filled, and surprising. We learned so much and we had a blast. I highly recommend anyone to hire Local Partners for any trip they see fit.

Great day out: even if we didn't please the mountain spirits enough to allow us to see mt Fuji - What a nice day we had!; even though we didn't get the full experience as Mount Fuji was covered all day by cloud. Both our guide and driver were delightful and couldn't have been more helpful: as a group we were infirm and needed wheelchair access. We found Japan and Japanese culture very good at respecting and helping the elderly and the infirm remain mobile. Everything provided for this sector in society was well provided for, always working and extraordinarily clean. Seeing rural Japan was interesting and made their respect of nature easier to understand. Mitchiko was charming , knowledgeable and had a reasonable command of English. We all really enjoyed the day spent out seeing, lakes, waterfalls, woods, rice fields, sengen shrine and small Japanese villages. We have nothing but praise for the tour and both our guide and driver.

Above pleased - Our guide Hero was well versed in his knowledge of the country and had lots of information available to us regarding every site we went to. Our driver Me, also was excellent at her duties of transporting us to our destination. Would take this tour again.

Best tour hands down! - Red Letter day with our guide Hiromu (Hero) and driver “Me”. Hero has impecable English command and laughs easily. He is very serious about Japanese culture and history, and was able to really make us understand the cultural importance of the 3 sites we went to. It was a beautiful day, great company, and the van was awesome. Zero complaints only praise for the tour group. Hero and Me (Mi?) are an asset. Thank you!

Fantastic Shimizu port excursion - Excellent shore tour for Shimizu port. Picked us up right from the port with excellent instructions and contact before the tour. We stopped at a lake and waterfall that were beautiful themselves but also had fantastic views of Mt Fuji. Also toured a beautiful Shinto shrine that was very peaceful and not crowded. Excellent tour with Michiko who had excellent English. Thank you!

Perfect Mt. Fuji - The entire experience was exceptional. We received a welcome message with photo of our ship arriving including Mt. Fuji in background. Our guide Michiko and our driver were knowledgeable and attentive. They got us to perfect photo shots of Fuji and waterfalls and exceeded all expectations by finding us a mail box and our final souvenirs. Michiko also explained the ceremonies at the temple ensuring we could experience the rituals. Highly recommend.

Must see sights from Shimizu Port - We had a wonderful experience on this tour. Every stop was absolutely beautiful. Our guide Nobuki was so knowledgeable and an excellent communicator. We appreciate her good energy and keeping us entertained. Our driver was also excellent and accommodating. And thanks to Hirokane for his clear instructions to make the tour go smoothly!
