Join your guide at your hotel and head to Shkodra, the ancient Illyrian capital during the third century BC. Experience the magnificent views from Rozafa Castle. Our journey continues to the town, where we’ll explore the Marubi Photographic Museum, featuring photographs from negatives that depict the life of the region’s inhabitants during the latter half of the 19th century. Enjoy a stroll amongst the Italian and Austrian architectural structures in the town’s pedestrian area.
Next, travel to Kruja, the heartland of Albania’s fight against Turkish rule under our national savior, Scanderbeg, who was awarded the title “Champion of Christ” by the Pope. Enjoy a meal inside Kruja Castle. After lunch, we shall explore the Skanderbeg Museum, an extensive Ethnographic Museum, and the Old Bazaar where you can buy handmade souvenirs. Our journey concludes with a return trip to Tirana.
