From the top, take in the sights of Yacaaba Head, Cabbage Tree, Boondelbah, and Broughton Islands from the northern platform. As you enjoy the scenery, remember that these nature reserves are the sole nesting sites for the endangered Gould’s petrel.

Switch to the southern platform to be amazed by the stunning views of Zenith, Wreck, and Box Beaches, along with the famous Fingal Island and Point Stephens Lighthouse. These views will surely leave a lasting memory of your adventure.

The Tomaree Head Summit walk not only provides a fulfilling and challenging hike but also offers picturesque ocean views that extend across Port Stephens and beyond.

Please note that this hike can be somewhat challenging, but there is an alternative flatter route available.

Enjoy a day out of Newcastle & explore the natural beauty of Port Stephens. We will pick you up and drop you back off to your accommodation.

On this day tour you will begin with an exhilarating one hour mountain hike with an impressive summit view as a reward. (suitable for most people, alternate flat walk of the coastline is also an option).

After working up an appetite we will indulge in delectable seafood against the backdrop of mesmerising ocean vistas. The seafood is fresh & portion sizes are massive! (lunch at own cost)

Next you will set sail to encounter the migration of over 35,000 majestic humpback whales, plus you may even run into some dolphins, seals & birdlife on this 3 hour boat ride.

As we commence the return trip home, we will make a stop so you can marvel at a unique viewpoint showcasing the largest moving coastal sand dunes in the Southern Hemisphere, combined with sunset, it makes for a picture perfect end to the day’s adventures.
