- Beijing Capital International Airport - Picking up at Beijing capital airport (or from a hotel) based on your given flight details. Your guide will hold a sign with your name while waiting right outside the baggage claim. Upon meeting, driving straight from Beijing Airport to the Great Wall at Mutianyu (1.5 hours drive)-the prettiest secti on in Beijing.
- Mutianyu Great Wall - After arrive at Mutianyu Great wall, you can either hike up or use the most popular way to go up to the wall by cable or toboggan chairlift. After accompanied hiking with our guide on the wall for 1-2 hours or so (you can decide to stay on the wall longer or shorter depending on your energy), then drive back to the airport. Lovely tour ends.
This private tour is customized for you or your family only and no other tourist will be join in it. This tour will last for 5 hours or so (counting from meeting at the airport and dropping off back to the airport). If time permit, you can talk with driver and require a stop at a local Chinese restaurant for food (at your own cost).
- Beijing Capital International Airport - You will be dropped off at Beijing capital airport for flight connection or at a nearby hotel in Beijing. About 1.5 hours drive.

This visa-free private layover tour takes you to explore the most famous attraction in Beijing - Mutianyu Great Wall, where you can get some fresh air and fully stretch your legs between two long flights. Your friendly guide will assist you for amazing photos taking. In addition, this tour is with no hidden fees and shopping stops so that you can truly enjoy your time during the visit.
- The tour last about 5 hours, plus the time(2 hours) to get out of airport and the time(2 hours) to catch flight, so it requires at least 9 hours layover time(between two flights) to make this tour happen.
- Visa Process: 1) Arrive in Beijing and get off the plane. 2) Follow signs to baggage claim, then you will find China immigration inspection. 3) Apply 24-144 hours visa(fill out a long white form beforehand) 4) After get visa, walk back to the regular line for immigration clearance. 5) Walk outside baggage claim to find your driver. 6) Driver will hold your name sign outside baggage claim.
- If you are not able to go through customs for any reasons, please take your own responsibility. There is no refund for the same day cancellation
- Note: Making such trips possible, your layover time has to be at least 9 hours or longer (between two flights)
- The tour would be about 7 hours if you would start from Beijing Daxing International Airport, so it requie a layover at least 11 hours between two flights.

An amazing layover tour to the Great Wall ! - If I could give 6 stars I would! Tour guide Shane was waiting for me at arrivals, straight to his beautiful car and on the road, he was very well spoken and informative, with just enough local history and guidance that I was in the mood for in between long flights!
We got to the wall and on a very lucky day there were no ques, popped in for a coffee in one of the Great Wall shops to reenergise and set off, luckily again with no que for the cable car we were extremely efficient! I had a knee injury and Shane was very patient and accommodating to my slow pace.
The cable car up was spectacular with thw hills surrounded and the wall just coming into view, and then when up there Shane explained the different towers, peaks and stretches of the wall with super helpful videos to show the difference in spots and different times of years and weather! Also excellent photo skills!
Even though I had a tight layover with just 8 hours, because of the lucky quiet day at the wall we were able to do a quick pitstop at a local authentic Chinese buffet for lunch which was so good and great value with Shane even cooking my dumplings for me !
I’m still amazed I got to do this on an airport layover, can not recommend more!

Not to be missed - The Great Wall was fantastic. A must see in one’s lifetime. I had a short layover in Beijing and my guide was super efficient and knowledgeable to ensure I saw the wall and spent plenty of time walking the wall.

Quick yet enjoyable visit during 8-hr stopover - We were on a quite tight schedule, having arrived at 5am and having to clear migration/24hr transit free visa desk. But our tour guide, Shane, was very conscious of it and even managed to appease my daughters' desire for noodles by taking us to a great restaurant in one of the villages along the way.
We still managed to see a good part of the wall and get its history despite the limitation.
Feedback: the ppl at the helpdesk for purchasing this ticket weren't really able to help us with questions concerning the 24-hr visa-free transit and whether or not we could get it without a hotel reserved (and just by showing the reservation for this tour). In the end I ended up booking a hotel as well, just in case. I'm not sure if the migration officer really paid it much attention.
