Even if you did a food tour in Bangkok, take this food tour too! - Fantastic food tour! Even though we did a food tour in Bangkok, we decided to do one in Chian Mai as well. That was a good decision because the food in northern Thailand is different from Bangkok. Every dish we had was new to us with different flavors.

Fantastic guide and experience - Just completed this evening tour with PT definitely a 5star experience. We travelled to a number of different places including local markets, michelin restaurant and a night market and tried a huge number of fruits, drinks, desserts and northern Thai dishes. PT was considerate, spoke exceptional English and was very knowledgeable on local history and gave us a number of recommendations for other activities. We couldn't recommend this tour more highly.

What a wonderful way to... - What a wonderful way to see Chiang Mai and gain an appreciation for the culinary and cultural differences. Our guide was knowledgeable and so friendly. We really appreciated the care she provided us and being able to sample the sights and sounds if the different markets.

Great introduction to Chiang Mai - My husband and I did the morning tour with PT as our guide and one other traveler. Thoroughly enjoyed it. PT provided an overview of the fruit, vegetable and general markets, restaurant dishes, and more. We sampled a fruits uncommon in our countries including a durian. PT has a lovely way about her. We enjoyed learning about the food and about her life in Chiang Mai. Recommended for anyone new to Thailand!

Excellent tour. Really... - Excellent tour. Really flexible guide who managed our family being 30 mins late (do check your start point for the 4pm tour as it isn't the same as the 9am one!!) and a family with very young kids. We ate really diverse variety of foods and the host ensured all dietary requirements met, she amended the menu as we all wanted to try duck as well!! All in all 5* from start to finish.

Go hungry. Very great way... - Go hungry. Very great way to learn more about Thai food and the history of Chiang Mai. PT was an amazing tour date and very knowledgable. We went to a Michelin star restaurant for Khao Soi which was unexpected but sooooo yummy. I loved getting to try fresh fruit from the markets, like Mangosteen and Durian. I loved walking around and learning about the temples and the art in the temples.

A “must do” foodie experience - I had the most amazing experience! Not only was it a culinary experience it was a cultural experience. We were able to do food samplings from one of the largest markets in Chiang Mai as well as go to multiple restaurants to taste of variety of food. I appreciated that we were able to experience the food in multiple areas. The tour leader, Pondtip was knowledgeable, attentive to our needs, and a wonderful guide!

Great guide, great food - Firstly, 5/5 for our guide, Mui, who was great - knowledgeable and engaging - and the food, which was delicious of course! But I can't give it 5/5 overall as we didn't enjoy the set-up as much as we have done for previous food tours: others we've done have been street food based, whereas a big part of this was at a restaurant, and I've also tended to go for walking tours, but this included quite a few songtheaw trips. That was all clear in the description and seems to be the style in Chiang Mai, so I'm not complaining, but it just wasn't quite right for us. Still a solid 4/5 though!

Not worth trying - Not a great experience. I was expecting a better itinerary to try out local Thai cuisine that was not easily available at night market. We went to the market to try sticky rice, spicy sausages, etc. had a milk tea, then went to a restaurant and had some simple dishes and then to a night street market to try some food and for a family of 3, we shared a portion of each dish. I think its not worth paying SGD 150 plus for the experience and it's something I could have managed on my own without a food tour.
