- Doi Suthep-Pui National Park - Wat Prathat Doi Suthep is situated in Suthep-Pui National Park, perched atop a hill. It is considered a landmark of Chiangmai, and visiting this temple is a must for anyone traveling to the city. The temple features several notable elements, including the Naga staircase with 306 steps leading to the main area, a White Elephant statue that carried the Buddha’s relic, an ancient Jackfruit tree, and statues of the revered monk who led the construction of the road to the temple 90 years ago. The eastern section offers two viewpoints with stunning views of Chiangmai city and the valley. At the center is The Golden Chedi (stupa), which houses the sacred Buddha’s relic and is the temple’s most revered site. Winhan Luang serves as the main sermon hall where monks and the public can engage in merit-making activities such as chanting, meditating, and praying.
- Doi Suthep - Wat Pha Lat is a hidden forest temple, distinct from others in the area. It includes two sermon halls and various types of Buddha images. The highlight is the Old Pagoda, built in Burmese style centuries ago, along with several viewpoints offering vistas of Chiangmai city.
